I purchased the Rayovac 7-Hour Power Back-Up Charger (PS73) from my local HarDware store, because the price was too good to pass up (it was cheaper than buying 8 alkaline batteries alone)

The PortaPow also has its limitations but it charged many devices the Rayovac refused to charge, you don't have to wiggle the plug to make it work, and it doesn't waste power on 3 stupidly bright LEDs.

The LEDs are painfully bright.. literally... painfully.

It has 3 very bright LEDs that go out regressively as the power depletes & is only on when it is being used

For emergency, or camping, this works great.

It will sometimes give a message "device not supported" but just turning it off and back on is a good work around.

This is an obsolete item from a time in the not so distant past when smartphones required less power.

The most valuable item in the box would be the four AA batteries.

Great item to recharge my phone during training events.

It's not a fast charger, but it does the job it's supposed to, exactly as I expected it to.

This device quickly drains the batteries while being used

I put 4 rechargeable AA batteries in it and it comes in handy when my kids drain the battery of my phone.
