• Reviews around horse (2.27 of 5)

Red Dead Redemption - Playstation 3

    • Every mission has you going across the map, on a slow horse, and then back, on the same slow horse to get paid or whatever.
    • Riding along a dusty trail and coming across a herd of wild horses is terrific once you've got the lasso
    • They will irritate you (like when I dismounted my horse to help a guy being chased by coyotes and my dumb horse wandered off a cliff and died).
    • I must have the stupidest horse in the cosmos.
    • Marston will also run into many random encounters with people, whether it be hookers being attacked by unsavory patrons, people asking Marston to help them rescue a loved one from being hanged by criminals, people appearing to need a ride to a nearby town only to then try to steal your horse or rob you, or law enforcement needing help in capturing or killing fugitives
    • However for me, lassoing wild horses is the hardest challenge of the game
    • Unlike other games, where the horse function like cars that you can hop in and out of, in Redemption you're rewarded for taking care of one horse for an extended period.
    • Love everything bout this except when you die and spawn way somewhere in a safe house and when having to ride horse to your mission time consuming but still nice horse ride if your not impatient to kill stuff like myself
    • Yeah you can steal horses if you want to, and you can play bounty hunter and there are side missions, but overall it feels like it's part of the narrative not a distraction, and the main missions play together really well and actually succeed in feeling like the events in the order for which you choose to play
    • The environments are nicely detailed, the animations look authentic, especially the horses
    • You spend a great deal of time on horseback, learning to throw horseshoes, riding on trains, stagecoaches, and wagons, learning to lasso wild horses and if that appeals to you, then you will not be disappointed.
    • Marston can also get a bounty for performing outlawed actions, such as killing a dog, stealing a horse, or murdering civilians
    • Being a cowboy isn't easy, learn to handle different kinds of weapons, hunt, rope, break wild horses, save damsels in destress, and shoot it out with some of worst kind of criminals to ever roam the west
    • My horse has stopped working 3 times.
    • You can ride around the beutiful world with your trusty horse, but don't worry you can fast travel places by setting up a campfire anywhere
    • The horses are not only beautiful to watch, but control about as close to riding a real horse can get
    • I must say the Red Dead horses are quite disappointing given the standard set by Agro, the horse from Shadow of the Colossus
    • I ran from the far bottom left corner of the map to the far upper right corner on a fast horse and it took me close to 10 - 15 minutes
    • You Can hunt(by the way the best hunting game ever made is within) and sell your spoils for money to the local towns, You can buy apartments in all the towns, you can treaqsure hunt, you break wild horses, you can hunt mythacial creatures, you can take place in TONS of side missions, not to mentions the MAIN story
    • Horse breaking and nightwatch.
    • It took me a little while to realize that it was Red Dead Horse, if you like Grand Theft
    • : I had just gained a new horse (it's a given horse, but still) , a pretty cream colored one and I was just trotting along wonder what I should try out next
    • The former is lassoing a wild horse, jumping on top of it and moving the analog stick back and forth to stay centered.
    • The horse is a bit touchy at first, but in my 2 hours of playing the game I've already "mastered" the horse controls.
    • Huge Free roam world, lots of interesting side quests, the auto aim if much funner then in gta, deadeye is great, horses are to cool, and funny sometimes when they die in bizarre ways like running off cliffs
    • You might think this sounds like plenty, but really the fastest horses are available almost at the start, and once you purchase it there really no point in buying another
    • I've enjoyed the main story line and tasks, been a member of a posse, encountered many interesting and a few creep/weird , characters, played poker, black-jack, horse shoes; ridden the train, stagecoach, driven cattle, hunted animals (been killed by several), seen some horrible scenes of violence (and gotten to take revenge/ justice for them), been a bronco-buster, capturing wild horses, and much more
    • I have yet to perform too many evil acts, besides killing my horse on accident which cost me -50 honor points
    • Most importantly, it's just a lot of fun to slip into the old west for a hour a day, and ride my horse into the sunset, or rope a wild horse, or even chat it up with the saloon ladies.
    • They stole my horse," etc.
    • Huge Free roam world, lots of interesting side quests, the auto aim if much funner then in gta, deadeye is great, horses are to cool, and funny sometimes when they die in bizarre ways like running off cliffs
    • Wheather its invisible horses for random catapulting animals, these glitches don't hinder your gameplay, but in my case make it humorus and more of a joy to play
    • So William S. (the response written below this one) thinks I made up the glitch about riding my horse up and down a cliff
    • The horse is a bit touchy at first, but in my 2 hours of playing the game I've already "mastered" the horse controls.
    • So far I have done a few missions, had duels, saved a woman, herded cattle, caught wild horses and broke them, stopped rustlers, worked nightwatch, hunted various critters from rattlesnakes to birds to rabbits and deer to name a few.
    • You can hunt for animals, go on a train, ride horses, enjoy the scenery, hunt for bandits, raid gang hideouts, and gamble
    • Animation glitches: Great character models ruined by poor animation; horses get confused by riding around rocks, people movement is much less realistic than in other Rockstar games, such as GTAIV, people and animals constantly getting stuck in weird places - I once played a 30 min
    • Also riding horses is tough at first, do yourself a favor, open up the options and change horse controls from "relative to horse" to "relative to
    • Once you do commit this error, the horse will abruptly stop and knock you off his or her back without a second thought
    • You can ride horses and blow their brains out
    • But awesome riding horses and shooting
    • Em and Liars Dice at the various saloons, and breaking in wild horses
    • It lasts for 15 or 20 seconds, then the horse suddenly stops and is broken in.
    • The horses are pretty damn realistic
    • You start out with the best horse you can get, and your first weapon can be used the entire game.
    • I was out one night and just hunted down a treasure map and a cougar came out of nowhere and killed my horse.
    • Somebody approaches and says, "Hey, my horse was stolen!"
    • The people are crisp and colorful, the sky is realistic and beautiful, and I can't say enough about the movements of the people and, more importantly, the horses.
    • Uncharted 2 deathmatches instead of trying to direct a stupid horse to where I want to go.
    • The horses an gunfights are good
    • You will someimes herd cattle or tame horses, which work really well and are really fun
    • The animation is smooth and very detailed, riding the horse is fun, and enjoyable even for the longer trips, the acting/voices are very well done (with some repetition, especially in the poker game chat)
    • You start out doing basic missions that involve herding cattle and breaking horses
    • I just got scammed into losing my horse
    • So, buy the fastest horse at the shop, because you won't be able to catch that horse until the last act of the game
    • The unlocks for completing the game are ugly character models, horrible guns, stupid horses
    • The horse controls are also some of the best I've experienced, while the horse's movement animations impress
    • He'll also get a lasso which allows him to capture people alive and acquire wild horses for him to ride
    • This is a game to ride tough horses and pick manly herbs.
    • What really surprised me is how well the horse mechanics worked
    • Other minor annoyances I encountered include: in-game tutorials are downright awful, your horse can commit suicide if you call to
    • The bounty mechanic overall seems poorly developed as I typically got a bounty for accidentally shooting someone when I was hunting or getting on the wrong horse at a hitching post
    • Taming a wild horse was so poorly programmed.
    • I can't mount my horse, open chests, skin animals, VERY annoying
    • I love riding my horse all over the place without any of the pain involved in the real thing.
    • I would definitely recommend the game, but would also recommend to buy the fastest horse in the game as soon as you can
    • " o superior, por lo demas es un muy buen juego interminable
    • I have to compliment R* for the depth of the experience and characters in the game.
    • I'd also like to see something in the form of bosses as opposed to set pieces, but R* will have to clean up their controls, which compared to say Mass Efeect are good, but any AAA action game, suck
    • My personal opinion, RDR is the best R* game ever
    • I'd also like to see something in the form of bosses as opposed to set pieces, but R* will have to clean up their controls, which compared to say Mass Efeect are good, but any AAA action game, suck
