I reccomend this for anyone who likes 'free roam' games, it's awesome.

2K games just demonstrated how incredibly fun multi-player gaming is done with Borderlands, but instead of taking a page from their book Rock Star has created a crappy Free Roam version of the single play area.

Unlike most free-roam games, this world is of course not populated by an endless number of buildings and skyscrapers that you can't go into, instead it's mostly vast and empty plains of grass, barren deserts, mountainous landscapes, and even snow filled forests, with different and mostly small settlements and farms, and the occasional forts and strongholds; you can also go into and explore almost every building in the game

The core elements of gameplay are based on missions, side-quests, and free roaming

If you like the old westerns, cowboys, hunting, shooting bad guys, free roaming to different missions.

Even after beating the game, it is very fun to just free roam around and try to get achievements and trophies

Excellent storyline in single player and a huge open free roam map in multiplayer.

The free roam is great, and there are many distractions(helping people, arm wrestling, Poker, etc.)

I say if you want a free roam game pick up Infamous much better

Huge Free roam world, lots of interesting side quests, the auto aim if much funner then in gta, deadeye is great, horses are to cool, and funny sometimes when they die in bizarre ways like running off cliffs

And even in the safe PVP Free roam, the other players still try to run you over or shoot at you while you're trying to complete specific goals on your own

Multiplayer is simply stunning - I find myself staying in the free roam "lobby" more often than not, PVPing and working on gang hideouts, and the leveling system offers some nice perks, while keeping gameplay from being too out of balance.

The online mode is a nice addition to the game with a unique free-roam system that reminds me of Burnout Paradise.

but anyways..I'd played the GTA series for a while and thought that a "western" version of this free roam system was too good to be true

Having all but conquered city based free roaming games, it's no surprise that Rockstar would eventually brand out to try and allow players to conquer other areas, this time taking us back to the turn of the century Wild West, essentially creating Grand Theft Horse.

This is a must have game and after completing it, its a free-roam

Awesome game overall my only complaint is that free roam is online only, had they made free roam an option you could play without having to be in multiplayer mode, i'd have given the game 5 stars

In a free roam session, creating a posse or working alone to fight gangs and level up is pretty nice

Basically it's amazing how many things there are to do, and belive me, they all work really well and are fun.-Multiplayer(10/10): You can use the entire singleplayer map in free roam multiplayer

The game's single player story is alright but the free roam where you can be different characters & what not is super nice

first off im the kind of person who loves free roam games

I have to compliment R* for the depth of the experience and characters in the game.

I'd also like to see something in the form of bosses as opposed to set pieces, but R* will have to clean up their controls, which compared to say Mass Efeect are good, but any AAA action game, suck

The game is a tremendous value as well as it seems like it will end several times but keeps going providing a ton of gameplay

The story unravels as you play and discover more of what is going on in the West in 1911.

On the PS3 Graphic Report Card, this gets a solid A+ and could be the best looking game of 2010.Sound_______________________________________________________________________The music is perfect, and the score is so fitting for every scene
