As with seemingly all open world games, this one is replete with random encounters and side quests for you to waste time should you choose: animal hunting, bounty hunting, treasure hunting, flower picking, gun duels, gambling, and more

This game is very much similar to Grand,Thief,Auto..and like GTA you do the same thing every time you play it Grand Thief Auto

Enjoy the single player, as it will last for hours of enjoyable play time.

and I guess I was expecting the same amount of detail as Grand Theft Auto, but although I had a great time playing Red Dead Redemption, I never felt totally blown away

I have a hard time penalizing games because of a sub-par multiplayer when the single-player is spot on but in this case it really feels like a shame.

Although the plot is somewhat short, It's a game that you'll enjoy time after time again

My character died in a cutscene, out of my control, when he could have just taken cover and killed the gang like he did EVERY OTHER TIME throughout the game

You can replay single player missions to try and accomplish something you missed the first time.

Notwithstanding, I enjoy riding from Point A to Point B (after falling off a cliff, I realized the second time I was riding on a slope that I encountered new scenarios along the ride, which makes it even more tempting to spend more time just riding).

I have been staying up way too late playing RDR, which unfortunately leads to a rough time going to work the next morning

It is a huge map, and there is always so much to do just riding from one town to another that I doubt I'll get bored any time soon

Another notable feature is the Dead Eye, you slow down time and choose you shots, allowing you to shoot and enemies gun out of thier hand or popping off thier head

Five finger fillet is the game where you stab the knife in between your fingers quickly and try to beat the time limit and liars dice is a game where you try not to get caught lying about your dice under a cup and try to catch your opponent lying.

Several times I would close my eyes during these parts of the missions and wonder why this game is making me sit there holding this button

Marston does have a dead-eye ability that allows the player to slow time down in order to momentarily identify several targets at once, which helps somewhat

At first it just slows down time, but later you can mark your targets by just passing over them with your reticle then pressing R2

I have been killed by a throwing knife more times than I care to remember at 75+ yards (not feet) up hill when I am crouched and partially behind cover by an NPC that I couldn't even see from where I was located and one time while he was running away from me he threw it over his shoulder without looking and unerringly killed me.

What gameplay there is is very fun and presented well, but it feels much more like interactive cutscenes most times that aren't even very challenging
