Red Dead Redemption - Playstation 3

    • Red Dead Redemption is a benchmark for both story-telling and compelling open worlds in the industry and an absolute godsend for those of us who love the Western genre.
    • It really takes you out of the game, as this is not you fighting the hard world of the Wild West but you butting heads against the clunky command interface of the game.
    • A less ambitious multiplayer, maybe a smaller world that kept the players closer together with more to do then shoot each other or hordes of random Mexicans, would have been really cool.
    • But again, the fact that all this takes place in this magnificent virtual world is what really elevates the game and makes it significantly different from other games that have come before.
    • (I love and hate the characters)+Best open world in a video game to date+ Stereo
    • It's also a beautiful world.
    • Red Dead is made by Rockstar, so you can expect an amazing open world experience
    • It is definitely not as safe a world as Liberty City from GTAIV
    • It's a great open world Western game, with many things you can do
    • In the amazing world of RDR, you can hunt and skin a number of different wild animals including deer, rabbits, bobcats, grizzly bears, armadillos, a number of different types of birds and much more, all depending on the area you're in
    • First of all, the world is gorgeous
    • I felt that the game developers spent a lot of time researching and designing a very realistic world and got a lot of things right but missed out quite a bit on the very basic "game" stuff
    • A very good open world game, great DLC available now, good online community.
    • Being an open-world Rockstar game, there are a ton of side missions to do, and yet none at the same time
    • Brilliant execution wonderful graphics and a fully realized world with unique people and places to see and meet
    • The world in which you play in is very realistic, and there are many, MANY places to explore and do stuff in
    • Rockstar is known for making fantastic open-world games, such as Bully and the highly controversial Grand Theft Auto series
    • After playing an open-world game like Red Dead Redemption, it's difficult to imagine why anyone would want to sit down and watch an old Western flick on TV while full participation in all the Wild West's glory is possible
    • Open-world roaming/exploring, variety of activities and a pristine presentation in visuals and
    • The open world of the wild west looks incredible on HD sets, the sunset, stars at night, a lot of things are done right in this game
    • Its gritty and a world that beckons you back time and time again
    • Great graphics, fun controls, and an absorbing open world environment.
    • The world is beautiful
    • Rockstar's shining star in achieving this great feat is the world they have constructed, quite possibly the most authentic, vibrant world ever created in a video game.
    • Rockstar's shining star in achieving this great feat is the world they have constructed, quite possibly the most authentic, vibrant world ever created in a video game.
    • It's not just the great story, great characters, a big world with so much wildlife you just end up thinking is really alive
    • This game succeeds in bringing the player into a imaginary western world with a compelling story line
    • I'll be honest, though - I was so blown away by how realistic this world was that I never fast-traveled once during my first play through
    • The best "sandbox" game of all time will captivate you with its engaging story, impressive atmosphere and immersion techniques, and its endless world; however unintuitive controls, less than polished character mechanics, and "two week old" graphics might turn away casual gamers, who want the game to "grab" them from the first few hours of game play instead of climbing a learning curve to start enjoying the experience
    • It's an incredibly beautiful world, as unlike Liberty/Vice/Stilwater city, there are no skyscrapers, no malls, or giant buildings.
    • I really loved the environment and the wild west era, love how Rockstar created this wide open world for this game and the design is so well done
    • This is a great sandbox game with vivid western theme world
    • It was so cool and the world you played in was very well put together
    • The voice work is great, adding another layer of believability and immersion to the game and enhancing what is an impressive, thoughtful, and gripping narrative, while gunshots and other ambient sound effects enhance the world even more
    • The world truly feels like it is a living, breathing world
    • For this, you find "scraps" of the outfit throughout the world or by accomplishing various tasks
    • The world of Red Dead looks awesome.
    • The story spans miles of untamed and inhabited territory that makes for a compelling, dynamic open world, brimming with life and personality
    • graphics+ Euphoria engine allows for great animationsNegatives- HUGE world...sometimes you have to travel a long way- Euphoria engine sometimes gets you stuck into objects or continually running into
    • The world is expansive with lots of fun challanges and games along the way
    • I won't spoil some of the cooler world events, but thier are some scary ones
    • This game is a masterpiece in almost every respect and ultimately succeeds because it recreates a beautiful world that is believable and more importantly tons of fun to play.
    • The world is not only huge, but also a convincingly realistic world
    • I'm sure you'll be stunned, just like I was, at this completely memorable, extremely enjoyable interactive tale set in one of the most brilliant fictional worlds ever created.
    • Great open-world, but with poor AI characters and animals
    • Lesser ambitious open world games out there by the competing studios may have a huge map, but the sense of life in the world and the attention to detail are lacking and this is made obvious when compared to RDR
    • If you like open world games like: Fallout, Skyrim, Infamous, Dragon's Dogma, ETC
    • So much fun to play and has an open world online so you can free
    • A very good Open world FPS western taking place in a Rio Grande west about 1910 with many missions and quests
    • Whether or not you'll connect with it probably comes down to your feelings about westerns and/or open world games, but I can say without hesitation that I have more fun with RDR than I did with either GTA IV or Fallout 3, both of which I thought were excellent open world experiences.
    • It's a beautiful open world western game and the main character is excellent
    • Despite that one complaint, this is a game that I will come back to time and time again to enjoy the world of the West.
    • Positives+ HUGE world to explore+ Varying amount of
    • The slimy snake oil salesman, the corrupt government agents, the loving wife, the Mexican revolutionaries, and the old hands watching modernization slowly steal their world away...they give this world a genuineness that compliments the incredible landscapes.
    • This may very well be the best PS3 game there is (yes, it is that good).Massive world, awe-inspiring jaw-dropping graphics, animals move flawlessly (from snakes to rabbits to skunks and birds and deer, and of course, horses).Flora, fauna, nature (rain, water, lightning)... what can I tell you
    • The open world is the grandest and most detailed in gaming history
    • I keep thinking that if Rockstar could combine their open world with a great first person shooter like "Modern Warfare 2" or "Frontlines : Fuel of War"
    • The world is beautiful
    • I'm sure you'll be stunned, just like I was, at this completely memorable, extremely enjoyable interactive tale set in one of the most brilliant fictional worlds ever created.
    • " o superior, por lo demas es un muy buen juego interminable
    • I have to compliment R* for the depth of the experience and characters in the game.
    • I'd also like to see something in the form of bosses as opposed to set pieces, but R* will have to clean up their controls, which compared to say Mass Efeect are good, but any AAA action game, suck
    • My personal opinion, RDR is the best R* game ever
    • I'd also like to see something in the form of bosses as opposed to set pieces, but R* will have to clean up their controls, which compared to say Mass Efeect are good, but any AAA action game, suck
