    Red Dead Redemption

    • Beautiful imagery, great story, characters that don't come across as simply cartoons
    • Although the story is the same old tale of a wronged charismatic central character taking on a bette noir from his past, mission structures tend to be a little more varied, with the slo-mo Dead Eye mechanic a cool nod towards the films of Sam Peckinpah and Sergio Leone.
    • Your character, John Marston, is a reformed outlaw who cannot escape his bloody past
    • The characters look great, although some characters could arguably use a little more polish, it's nothing terrible
    • Fallout 3 is an example, IMO, of a tight/responsive character
    • Most characters are polite and use proper grammar.
    • Though I can honestly recommend this to anyone who likes great stories, brilliant characters and intuitive gameplay.
    • The characters are realistic and all function well in this Western epic
    • His travels take him to some diverse locations and in contact with some colorful characters
    • This game just does everything right and by the end I'm sure John Marston will be one of my new favorite video game characters
    • The game portrays a gritty landscape with colorful supporting characters and action-packed mission sequences.
    • Love the main character
    • Now with that said, The guy you are John Mariston is a cool character that is trying to redeem himself for his past deeds
    • I like the main character
    • Awesome open world gameplay, with tons of exciting missions,an interesting main storyline, memorable characters, great graphics and nice music
    • One of the few disappointments with xBox 360 games is they have bad characters
    • This game has a very unique setting, well written story, and hilarious, likable characters
    • Great characters, great game play, interesting story and an authentic, western feel.
    • And the missions themselves I dont like the characters or the cartoonish was they act or respond.
    • You will feel the same feeling when a character is happy or sad or angry
    • I have played hundreds of games throughout that time, and I have to say that Red Dead Redemption is one of the best games I have ever played.. easily in my top 5.John Marston is a very well developed character, and when you are in charge of him you can't help but to try and act as you think he would.
    • From the absolutely stunning open-world environment to the memorable characters that inhabit it, RDR is a must buy for video game fans
    • The story is great, and the characters are believable.
    • your main character is nice to some then wretched and evil to others and its too bizarre to take seriously
    • During his journey you'll be introduced to a wide variety of memorable and interesting characters
    • John Marston is an amazing lead character and his tale is on of escape from a horrible past and redemption to be a rancher with his family
    • Killing off major characters who have been the center of the storyline is a slap in the face to players
    • the short run-down is that the game plays a canned animation/in-game cinematic where Marston (the main character) pulls out a bowie knife and proceeds to gut and skin
    • (For instance, Dead Rising, worst characters ever invented in history), but Red Dead Redemption is amazing
    • Ridiculously, to pad out the story, your character is fine with being duped time and time again with false leads
    • Plus, you've got a lead character who is fighting the eternal fight (good vs evil) within himself.
    • Featuring two of the most memorable and eminently quotable video game characters in the form of Landon Ricketts and Nigel West Dickens, RDR will take weeks and weeks to finish, yet playability will last for months and years
    • I love Grand Theft Auto games but have criticized the over the top characters and situations
    • Crisp, clear character models and sharp landscapes
    • I actually found it nearly intolerable how every single character in the game was almost a parody, a joke
    • The game's voice acting is on the money; the characters' voices sound authentic and conversations are crisp, clear and realistic
    • You need to deal with a cast of misfits and shady characters to accomplish your mission.
    • - A powerful story and remarkable characters
    • John Marsten will become one of your favorite video game characters
    • The characters are VERY memorable and well done
    • The main character is cool, but he's a guy.
    • John Marston is a character I can relate to--not sure if I have a crush on him, or I just love playing him, but he is as memorable to me as any book or movie character I have encountered in the last decade
    • Great characters and story
    • It's very easy to pick up, and it's well worth the effort to improve your character
    • It's a long game, has a great story, and lots of memorable characters
    • The lead character in this game is very likable and really compells you to move forward to see how the story unfolds
    • If you're looking for an epic open-world game with a superb story, memorable characters, fun gameplay, an interactive and expansive world, and a vast multiplayer, then this game is for you!
    • John Marston is a bad ass and you will love his character as well
    • The shooting controls are the best yet, the story will stay with you for a good time to come, and John Marston is one of the most memorable characters since Nico Bellic
    • Although the story is the same old tale of a wronged charismatic central character taking on a bette noir from his past, mission structures tend to be a little more varied, with the slo-mo Dead Eye mechanic a cool nod towards the films of Sam Peckinpah and Sergio Leone.
    • The main character John is easily the best character, and you get to play as him
    • The story is epic, the characters are legendary, the graphics & scenery are incredible
    • what utter crap these characters say.
    • You will get to play as another character towards the end, and it seems Rockstar should have used this character to begin with
    • A lot to like in terms of story an graphics but the character dynamics (movement, weapons) are twitchy like GTA IV.
    • John Marston is the main character (aka protagonist) and one of my all time favorite gaming characters
    • You also get a chance to meet so many great characters on the way, while not the greatest Western story every told, I find it adequate
    • First off, the characters are amazing
    • John Marston is also a very likable character.
    • The story is set just like a movie, with great character development, action, and stroyline.
    • Most of them will be as ridiculous as the characters
    • John Marston is an amazing character and is voiced superbly, and as the game progresses you feel for him more and more and actually care about the outcome.
    • Beautiful game with excellent plot, characters, scenery EVERYTHING!
    • - I'll hit on the story again in a bit, but this involves character as well.
    • The horses are incredibly real and the characters are very believable.
    • The characters are well-acted, the lighting is superb, the music is breathtaking, the visuals are extreme and amazing (when I shot a guy through the skull in a dual the exit wound on the back of his head was massive, and flies immediately descended on him in the dirt)
    • Imagine if you could choose the look of your character, the clothes, with tons of options, and be able to take THAT character into multiplayer!- The Good/Bad system (aka Fame and Honor
    • You'll have to do really ridiculous tasks for really ridiculous characters, and it's even more ridiculous that of all the people in the world only the most ridiculous could help you find Williamson
    • A series of rich characters help you find them, but only after you get involved in their stories and help them out
    • Arriving off the train, John gets mortally wounded but nursed back to health by a ranch owner named Bonnie MacFarlane and from there John meets a whole host of crazy and memorable characters as he tries to bring Williamson to justice
    • If you get away then a bounty is put on your head, then you gotta watch out for bounty hunters.- You can play a few mini games of the ear such as Poker, Blackjack, Horseshoes, Liar's Dice, and a game called Five Finger Fillet (where you take a knife and stab between the fingers as fast as you can
    • It was a realistic, in a small sense as well as, in my own opinion, an unexpected ending
    • As well as take out your steed
    • It's basically designed to brainwash young people as they play.
    • I find myself climbing to a high point and enjoying the view at times, embarrassing as it sounds.
    • Nice try R*. Next time.
