    Red Dead Redemption

    • Gameplay changes like the addition of "Dead Eye" greatly improve combat and makes the frustrating gunfights of GTA IV a thing of the past.
    • The Dead Eye feature has about 3 (or four) different modes your character evolves through based on quests
    • Gameplay is also pretty well done, and the addition of the Dead Eye
    • Coupled with "Dead Eye" which is RDR's "Bullet
    • There's a neat "Dead Eye" part where you can slow down time a bit to help target and shoot
    • Dead-eye is a nice touch (basically bullet time a'la the matrix)
    • Another amazing feature is the dead eye system that allows you to gun down foes with extreme finesse
    • then i figured out how to use dead eye and its even easier now
    • It's true that Dead Eye (the games bullet-time) helps sometimes; but, it's a finicky beast, and good luck finding cover outside of mission battles
    • I followed an online post that suggested hurrying to a particular quest that gets you the final Dead Eye
    • Dead Eye is cool, various levels
    • It has the Dead Eye feature which basically is slow-mo while you take aim and target multiple enemies
    • I haven't once even thought to use dead eye
    • The colors and sand blowing and swirling is truly beautiful eye candy.
    • Of course, using Dead Eye or the left trigger makes it easy: the game aims for you
    • You can also enter a mode called "Dead Eye," which slows everything down and allows you to aim easier at specific targets
    • The Dead Eye component (read: magical aiming) aims and shoots for you
    • The save function still requires you to stop in at safehouses to save (though you can now save on the road using a campsite), shooting isn't always easy or accurate (you'll be using the slow motion Dead Eye system a LOT), and the instructions and tutorial stink
    • My only complaint is that my old eyes could not always see my enemies from a distance, but the "auto-aim" feature helps
    • Given that the game at times seems almost too easy, since you can just mow down swaths of enemies in one dead-eye burst, I think the hardcore mode would definitely be a welcome addition to the game
    • My favorite changes are: no more health bar on your character or your enemies and the dead-eye mechanic.
    • Combat is an interesting system, you can hop into cover, pull out any wild west weapon imaginable, and even use a "Dead Eye" system which lets you slow down and plan your shots, similar to the system in Fallout 3
    • In other words, RDR's world is as much focused on the wild-eyed temperance preacher standing outside the saloon as much as the crazed and whoopin' drinkers inside.
    • To that end, you'll end up learning to use the slow-motion "Dead Eye" to not only win duels at high noon, but to hunt wildlife, or to shoot the rope off the neck of an unfortunate lynching victim in order to save her.
    • Those who got this game from Gamestop get a new 16 outfit called the Deadly Assassins Outfit which makes your Dead Eye meter fill more quickly thus making you more Deadly
    • For those who are unfamiliar, Dead Eye is a limited, replenishing meter that lets you slow time for a short period, and better target multiple enemies
    • There's a neat "Dead Eye" part where you can slow down time a bit to help target and shoot
    • I had to hit dead eye quickly, bring the aim down manually, and dispatch the bear before I got turned into lunch.
    • The game is pretty easy, with the dead-eye feature (which is like a modified Max Payne slo-mo) there really isn't much of a challenge anywhere, and if you've played GTA before then your definitely not going to have any trouble at all
    • The Dead Eye feature is cool too
    • Although the story is the same old tale of a wronged charismatic central character taking on a bette noir from his past, mission structures tend to be a little more varied, with the slo-mo Dead Eye mechanic a cool nod towards the films of Sam Peckinpah and Sergio Leone.
    • The game also features a resource based, Dead-Eye shooting mechanic which slows time and allows you to fire with pinpoint accuracy.
    • You build Dead Eye Mode by making regular kills without
    • Unfortunately, the first level, and last level are the only Dead Eye modes that I could use properly
    • With Dead Eye and auto-targeting, you'll rank right up there with Clint Eastwood or Billy the Kid -- killing four or five guys in a matter of seconds, or shooting them in the leg to make them fall down, or even shooting their gun out of their hand
    • The cover system and shooting mechanics flow very nicely especially dead eye which is very useful when your going up against 10 or more enemies
    • Speaking of ammunition, the combat model is not realistic, but it is contextually appropriate for our spaghetti western hero; "Dead Eye" slows the action down to a crawl, allowing you to aim precisely; it has a meter that drains while in this mode and can be re-filled by performing a headshot or via a few consumable items
    • Gameplay wise there's nothing completely different than GTA aside from the better cover and shooting mechanics but the main difference is the Dead Eye which is similar to Fallout 3's VATS where pressing the Right analog slows down time allowing you for more accurate and more numerable shots where normally you couldn't
    • you can do something called Dead Eye Mode (bullet time), which makes everything turn red and in slow-motion and you can then mark a person with icons, which then at the end of Dead Eye Mode your character will automatically hit those icons really quickly
    • Dead eye aim is freakin awesome (you can shoot the gun away from the opponent in duel). The bad-There's a swampy town that is full of glitches
    • If you get into an indoor shootout, your only real chance of getting through it unscathed is to use the dead eye ability
    • I was trying to shoot the other guy while reading the instructions on how Dead Eye works
    • Some quirky controls such as dead eye or dueling, needs work
