    Red Dead Redemption

    • good when gta 4:modern times red dead:1911[99 years ago] likeness:not much how gta 4:he often shoots and kills people
    • marston had already killed over 100 people to get his farm and family back, so it was disappointing that neither he nor his family seemed very happy to be there.5
    • Maybe people want to like the game because it seems like a such a cool idea and it shares some DNA with Grand Theft Auto.
    • regular people are generaly evil in both.crude humor and drugs are around in both places.in red dead redemption you can hunt animals a lot.in gta 4 you hunt
    • Unlike Nico Bellic who is forced into situations where he has to Kill both good and bad people in GTA4, Red Deads story mode only includes missions where you have to kill the "Bad Guys" and the player has the option if they want to make John Marston a hero of the west or a stone cold killer
    • you talk to someone in the cutscene, walk outside, mount your horse or wagon, then follow them to the destination, you kill some people, then they leave you in the middle of nowhere, absolutely no where near your objective
    • It's basically designed to brainwash young people as they play.
    • Some people say they hate the long rides, I love them it gives me a chance to relax, breath in the fresh air and enjoy the beautiful scenery
    • Apparently there are about three decent people in the RDR universe, and you don't get to be one of them.
    • I have only seen a few bugs that aren't too serious, sometimes a character may perform an animation and then the game will spawn the same charcter doing a differnet animation causing a funny ghosting effect (have only seen it once), sometimes characters will appear cross-eyed in cutscenes and sometimes when you call your horse it'll jump off of a cliff - none of which are game-breaking, but if you are picky about those sort of things, there they areMiscellaneous: Other things the game includes (as written in all synopsis' of the game) a social club that links to xbox live to give you news about public events and updates, a bunch of side things to do from hunting, the herb-gathering, to arm wrestling and bounty hunting or escaping US Marshals or kidnapping civilians or getting into drunken brawls or duels, there is much to do in this game, some people clocked 200+ hours in Oblivion and Fallout 3, this game you might easily surpass that, with the multiplayer experience including free-roam and organized traditional games, you will ALWAYS have something to doOverall: If you're a fan of action games or shooters, get this.
    • You can play the game honorably; completing the missions, saving people in distress, and only killing the bad guys
    • This is not exaggeration right here: The only thing you can do in Free Roam are the 7 Gang Hideouts (which you can do each one in maybe 30 minutes total), go hunting or picking flowers for challenges, or just find people you are playing with and kill them which gets old after 10 minutes
    • Most of all, it gives the impression of a lived-in world that is both old and new, tired and vibrant, and with room for both the myth of the charismatic gunslinger and the lonely and crazy people that the brutal society of the West created
    • He doesn't try to make many excuses about his past, only that he saw himself more as a robin hood character than a highway bandit that murdered people in cold blood.
    • Some people complain it takes forever to get from point A to point B, though it does take a while the game makes up for it with a beautiful landscape and something is always going on
    • Also people complain about the aiming system
    • Honestly the only negative things I can say about this game is at first some of the challenges seem insane (kill a bear with a knife), and sometimes the rules change a bit (you can disarm people in
    • Your character is a nice friendly guy with a family, you don't get hookers or anything, you follow a storyline that portrays your character in a good light, unless you go off and kill innocent people, and even then theres
    • Most of all, it gives the impression of a lived-in world that is both old and new, tired and vibrant, and with room for both the myth of the charismatic gunslinger and the lonely and crazy people that the brutal society of the West created
    • Rockstar seems to think people play games like GTA for their story.
    • You ride horses, shoot things, lasso things, blow things ups, save people, kill people, have a choice to be honorable or dishonorable
    • If you choose to play as an outlaw then it's really odd to see in story missions that you're helping others right wrongs and care about justice, but outside these missions you can still kill innocence people and cause all types of mayhem
    • Its awesome, you can go lasso random people and drag them across the street if you are bored which i doubt you will be.
    • Unlike Nico Bellic who is forced into situations where he has to Kill both good and bad people in GTA4, Red Deads story mode only includes missions where you have to kill the "Bad Guys" and the player has the option if they want to make John Marston a hero of the west or a stone cold killer
    • I didn't really go around killing people
    • Hours upon hours of the Western GTA feeling where you can drag people on your horse, pistol duels and different mini games
    • yes, the testers are nice hardworking people, and it looks impressive to list so many of them on the screen, but the acting talent is in the eye and ear of the player almost every second of the game
    • If you're a stone cold criminal people will fear you, how you play is up to you, something I truly enjoy in the game
    • even though Nico wanted redemption Rockstar made it so impossible by giving him situations forcing him to kill cops as well as other good people
    • I can get a pardon letter or pay the bounty, but if I get my honor and fame up by doing good deeds maybe people won't be so hasty to tattle
    • Those people would also be wrong
    • Ignore the people's lacking idiosyncrasies and just buy this game you really won't be disappointed.
    • Some people who enjoy fast paced, first person shooters, may find parts of this game a little slow for their tastes.
    • If you like killing innocent people, this is the game for you.
    • I checked my stats and found that so far in the game Marsten had killed 243 people, much less all the folks who Marsten must have killed in his supposed outlaw days.
    • Several outfits to choose from and perform in game tasks to unlock more, play poker, blackjack, break wild horses, bring in criminals dead or alive, decide wheter or not to help strangers with certain tasks such as; return stolen money to a shopkeeper, return a stolen horse, duel against strangers, help local law enforcement find missing people and hunt down criminals with large posses, and several great choices for weapons, you can buy and sell at general stores, doctors offices, and gunsmiths, etc.
    • lastly the spawning in free roam is crazy if you die from some one they spawn u not very far away so the people who killed you can follow you and kill you again corpse camping can be annoyingwell thats the end of my
    • These people get hard on's for playing the same game for the last 4 years and no life and buy everything for it
    • There are all sorts of crazy people out there, many of them doing crazy things or having crazy things done to them, and you can intervene at will
    • If you like killing innocent people, this is the game for you.
    • Another huge problem with this game is that when you kill people, with the exception of killing one guy way out in the desert, there will be groups of lawmen that will hunt you down until you outrun them
    • even though Nico wanted redemption Rockstar made it so impossible by giving him situations forcing him to kill cops as well as other good people
    • Plenty to do, great graphic and colorful people.
    • There seems to be a bizarre overlap glitch between killing townspeople in cold blood and killing people in self defense
    • Players could form posses, run around villages terrorizing people
