    Red Dead Redemption

    • With a great story and terrific mechanics, Red Dead Redemption is well worth your time.
    • I loved the story.
    • I like a good story in my games, but this borders on the ridiculous
    • No, no, no....Boring game play, bad story line, slow action, tedious "training
    • It sort of follows your classic Western revenge story with a twist in that these men Marston is sent to track down were his old mates
    • Excellent story line, very well developed
    • If I could change anything, it would be:- Story is a little twisted.
    • The story is what sold me on this game, and it did not fall short
    • I found the story compelling, and most of the characters memorable and nuanced
    • Long story short this game is enjoyable, there's plenty to do, and your cell phone does not go off every 30 seconds by your idiot cousin wanting to go to a strip club.
    • Not only would it have been a better story it would have served as a tutorial(if you needed one)
    • The Story is where this game shines, but I'll be damned if I've ever had so much fun gunning down a table full of gamblers after losing a poker match
    • As much as the story and its world are integral to the game, it wouldn't be fun unless the gameplay was good
    • If you enjoy the game play of Grand Theft Auto, you'll enjoy Red Dead Redemption...all the while sweetened with good story, interesting characters and a beautiful setting
    • Great story
    • It has a fun, intense, and fantastic story
    • Great Story
    • you get a chance to make some limited choice story wise, but for the most part the story is like a movie script that you can't change
    • If you love a video game with a good story line and that action, this game is a good choice
    • As amazing the gameplay is, the story, characters, and voice work is equally as amazing
    • The story is a decent story, you meet a lot of interesting people, get to do a lot of different
    • It has it all: great gameplay, great story, great acting, great sound, amazing environments, and best of all it has such a real feel to it
    • It's Rockstar gameplay through and through, with a great story, a fantastic setting, and loads to do
    • Story is good, music is amazing
    • Huge open world, great story telling and high production (gameplay, graphics, music, voice acting, incredible multiplayer and mini games like poker, blackjack, horse shoe throwing, arm wrestling, finger filet, duels, wow)
    • This game is very fun to play, has good graphics, great music and sound effects, good amount of unlocks and achievements, multiplayer, good balance of light RPG + action + open-world elements, originality, and a great story
    • They continue to do a great job offering some of the most expansive open world maps of any other games, great dialog and great story lines
    • Great story line
    • As you progress your fame will steadily grow as you become more well known, and the honor meter can either raise or drop, depending on your choices, you can either be an honorable lawman, or an outlaw, this is probably where the story has a weakness as it probably wouldn't have as much of an impact on people going as outlaws
    • A great story, with great graphics, good game play and a lot to do.
    • However, if you like spaghetti westerns and the stories that are told within them, this game is just perfect.
    • It doesn't matter how good the story is if the game itself is too frustrating to be worth playing
    • The story is actually pretty dark, which I
    • The story, while not the most compelling, was still all right
    • The story is AMAZING, the graphics are out of this world, the game is easy to pick up and play and just sucks you in
    • In my mind, a good game should blend getting into the mind of a character with cutting through the BS of pointless filler missions, so you can understand the motives behind why you're doing something without spending hours watching cutscenes (Metal Gear Solid 4).In Red Dead Redemption at least, the story is fairly clear
    • Based on the popular open world style and functionality of GTA, fans of that genre will love the story, missions, side missions, and mini-games in Red Dead just as much or even better
    • Listen to me now - this is the core part of this review - this story is unparalleled in any other medium
    • the depth this gave to the character and the story was very welcome: as in "assassin's creed ii", we're seeing videogames evolve into cinematic storytelling and true character development
    • Have been absolutely amazed -- the graphics, the story, the tasks/challenges
    • The story of John Marston having to fight his old gang for freedom is such a classic western story line and made me so happy
    • The story is fantastic with one of the best and most shocking endings we have seen in a game
    • The story is pretty interesting thus far as well, and most of the characters are amusing, if somewhat
    • An outstanding story line with amazing graphics, gun play and open world experience.
    • The story is excellent and really flows nicely
    • The story of every GTA I ever played has been bland and boring
    • The story is very good, and the ending is one of the best I've seen in recent years
    • Just finished the game.-Amazing Story-Tons of missions-Beautiful landscape-Incredible detailThe ending is
    • Just going home and being able to run around the Wild West is enough for me, Rockstar included a solid story, but you can make your own as you go, helping damsels in distress, or massacring an entire settlement, its all up to you.
    • It was a great game with a great story line
    • the bad first: The story
    • It has a superb story mode that will last at least 25 hours (40 hours if you go for the 100% completion), and you will enjoy every second of it
    • The story and environment are so amazing that my girlfriend (who has hardly played a video game in her life) told me I am not allowed to play the missions unless she is there because she loves watching it so much
    • Excellent story with excellent voice acting and animation
    • The character that you play, John Marsten, is cleverly drawn to look like an older version of Red from Red Dead Revolver, but the story makes it clear eventually that he is in fact a different character.
    • This game has a very unique setting, well written story, and hilarious, likable characters
    • The main story is very lengthy at around 20 hours, and then there's still tons of side missions to do
    • The story is great, and the characters are believable.
    • How I learned this new "civilization" was very interesting and even would make a good story
    • I was thinking for sometime whether this was some bizarre story device, like JM is actually a ghost or something, but having played through the whole game, I feel it's just an inconsistency
    • I've always enjoyed the stories in Rockstar's games, but I have never really been invested in their stories before.
    • Rarely did I play for more than 45 minutes before putting it down to go running, biking, hiking, anything to be out in nature without having to be in this absurd story.
    • - A powerful story and remarkable characters
    • Great characters and story
    • Furthermore, Rockstar does a great job of showing Marston's motivation for things he does, which furthers the great story in ways many games nowadays just can't
    • Great story too
    • not enough story focus
    • The story was good and John was a worthy protagonist
    • I like the story and the ending (some people don't like the
    • but I have to say that this was one of the best stories for a game
    • You also get a chance to meet so many great characters on the way, while not the greatest Western story every told, I find it adequate
    • Great story, very well acted, and super immersive setting
    • Moving on to the story, it's one of if not the BEST western story that I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing.***SPOILERS
    • The story is set just like a movie, with great character development, action, and stroyline.
    • It's not a perfect game, there are some bugs, the missions, especially the side-quests, get repetitive after a while, but it's a unique, well thought out, cohesive story that makes you feel like you're in the wild west for just a little while.
    • Beautiful game, great story line, many varied tasks, lots of achievements, fun characters & cut scenes, great online play
    • For all of its failings, GUN told an interesting story of a mountain man turned gunslinger turned revolutionary, with a great back story and real motivations.
    • Crappy story, disappointed online and gameplay, just an overall horrible buy.
    • Between the "Stranger" missions, the main story, hunting bounties, duel challenges, and exploring the vast western world, I could tell this would be an addicting game for a long time
    • It's a pitty that the strong elements have to put up with such a horrible story and prevent this title from being unforgettable.
    • Beautiful imagery, great story, characters that don't come across as simply cartoons
    • The game has a great story line with its twists and turns throughout
    • the story is broken and stalled by random lame tasks to do.
    • A slow story, empty free roam, terrible structuring of quests, easy auto aim, unreliable controls, and just generally boring and repetitive gameplay make this game suprisingly dissapointing
    • The graphics are great, I loved the story, I just loved everything about it
    • eventhough the story and acting is awesome
    • If you love Westersn, Grand Theft Auto, beautiful vistas, or good stories, you HAVE to play this game.
    • I really don't like Westerns, but this story and the gameplay made this game mind-blowing!
    • This game is basicly1/3 Fallout 3 (huge open land great story can go anywhere you can see etc.)1/3 Oregon Tail (lots of hunting and travel and strange things on the trail, mini games, houses)1/3 GTA4 (mindless killing and running around, great polished game, fun shooting dynamics, serious language and
    • I don't want to go into specific detail on these glitches since they mostly occurred during missions, and I don't want to spoil the story for anyone, but suffice to say they were annoying
    • The story is riveting and you can really fall in love with the characters in this game
    • It's a simple, serviceable plot, and hardly original, but as with many things the genius is in the execution, and this game executes the story quite well, with several great side quests, a wonderful voice cast and a strong central theme
    • Still, the story is solid and will keep you hooked from start to finish.
    • It sounds simple enough but the story is pretty good and it does have its highs and lows
    • Excellent story and open world
    • Beautiful graphics, immersive environment/story
    • The story (without giving away any spoilers) is just perfect, the end particularly is a masterpiece.
    • great story, surprisingly good voice acting
    • Deep story line that will drag you in and keep you guessing.
    • This is a really fun game the story and multiplayer is outstanding!!
    • The most recent patch now allows you to save and progress the story even with cheats enabled, so that is why I waited so long to buy it, even though I played through the first time without cheats
    • Story is fantastic
    • Unlike GTA 4 there are usually only 1-3 story missions available at a time, and it does not matter when you do them or in what order
    • Was fun and the story was decent as well.
    • I love dumping hours into this game because the environment is so immersive and the story is so appealing.
    • Great graphics,Amazing gameplay,And outstanding story.
    • Most of all, the music perfectly illustrates how RDR so often favours feel, shadow, landscape and melancholic observation over the pyrotechnics of violence, flamboyance and simplistic story development.
    • Main CampaignThe Red Dead story is very deep and rich with character development.
    • If you're looking for an epic open-world game with a superb story, memorable characters, fun gameplay, an interactive and expansive world, and a vast multiplayer, then this game is for you!
    • this game has a great story, awesome graphics with very minor problems, gameplay is great just a great game its a must buy and its only 30 bucks so
    • Besides the main quest, which has an excellent story and engaging cut scenes, there is plenty to see and do.
    • No spoilers from me, but the characters are well defined and are given strong back-stories, told through the game play
    • RDR!!!!Amazing story line, beautiful graphics, realistic caracters, full detailed enviroments, tons of action
    • I played this game and loved it the graphics are amazing, story is awesome, ending is one of the better endings in a video game that I have seen in a while
    • Red Dead Redemption is certainly playable, and it's great to see a free roaming western; but, there's not nearly enough to do, the story is inane (and frequently disgusting), and it's just not what it should be
    • This game has everything, shooting, card games, wild wild west slow-motion showdowns, horseshoes, horseback riding, hunting, random tasks, not to mention a ridiculously good story
    • I'd hoped for, this is still a pretty cool story
    • Plus the story line is great... best story mode I played
    • good story line and graphicsif you like grand theft
    • The story is very easy to follow
    • Everything is perfect graphics, story, mechanics, online, and much much more
    • Everyone praised the story of this game, but it's just ridiculous
    • Single-handedly one of the most memorable moments in gaming --and it wasn't scripted to look that gorgeous.-Engaging story
    • Then take a classic revenge story and place it into this setting and off you go!To be quite honest, I was expecting this to be like the last Western game Call of Juarez II that came out last year and this game by
    • I can say proudly that this game is my favorite game of all time and that I would recommended it to any video game lover as well as a story lover
    • Rockstar always had a knack for clever story written and character development and this game doesn't disappoint
    • The story here gets even more intriguing and eventually crescendos to an exciting and dramatic finale
    • Red dead redemption has a great story
    • Red dead redemption has a great story
    • The story is amazing and full of surprises
    • I find out that every Rockstar game has a strong story that will suck you in for a long time
    • Overall the story is really enjoyable and has the ability to really draw you in
    • The story is fantastic and the world is large to explore.
    • The story is great, and there is just so much free roam stuff to do!
    • The story is fine although I truly hated most of the characters you have to help in order to get help from them in return
    • The gameplay is expansion, the story is amazing
    • The story starts slow and never fully grabbed me but the world itself is so interesting that I'm still playing a month after I completed the story
    • The story so far is great
    • 9.7/10With an incredible atmosphere, fairly easy gameplay, excellent graphics, and a good story, Red Dead should satisfy anyone with a hankerin' for the old west
    • (my first run through was about 47 hours) and you will enjoy the story and the ending
    • And it's all padded with the most childish story and writing I've ever seen
    • It's in these supporting characters that the the story of Red Dead Redemption becomes divisive
    • Though I can honestly recommend this to anyone who likes great stories, brilliant characters and intuitive gameplay.
    • Story: 5 out of 5 starsThe story itself is not overly complex or completely original
    • It's too bad, because between the open world, great graphics, and fairly adult story it could have been a truly great game
    • Redefining the term RPG in a way never before seen, Red Dead Redemption takes the best elements of GTA and the Original Red Dead, and intertwines them into an immersing story worth "living
    • Fun Game with a great story and awesome music
    • The story is great, the gameplay is great, the old western frontier is great its a great game.
    • but because it's stunningly good when it comes to its taking advantage of a game console's capabilities, because of its most innovative story line, its unparalleled humor and the games ability to fully transport the player right in the middle of late 19th century Texas, living inside a Western story plot
    • but because it's stunningly good when it comes to its taking advantage of a game console's capabilities, because of its most innovative story line, its unparalleled humor and the games ability to fully transport the player right in the middle of late 19th century Texas, living inside a Western story plot
    • A good story that mixes elements of historical fiction and a frontier drama epic.- Really impressive graphics and first-rate animations, that looks just as good as games like Uncharted 2 on PS3 and Gears of War 2 on 360
    • The visuals are stunning, and the story is ingrossing, and amazing
    • Red Dead Redemption is a can't miss experience for anyone that likes a good story, hour upon hour of gameplay and small unexpected twists in the plot
    • Don't get me wrong, the story is good, but if I wanted this much story, I'd watch a movie or read a book!!!Horses and more #$%@ horses!!!!
    • I loved the story and online play
    • The story is exciting and tragic, as the old west should be.
    • It's a long game, has a great story, and lots of memorable characters
    • I strongly recommend this to gamers seeking a challenge, and a well put together story, and game.
    • The story is almost novelistic, almost like a Russian novel, with so many characters, each intersecting and coming and going at different stages of the game.
    • The story is fine although I truly hated most of the characters you have to help in order to get help from them in return
    • I love that they dove back into the wild west genre... with an amazing story and a fantastic multi-player experience as well
    • The story is fantastic, and it's one of the few games where you really enjoy watching the cutscenes
