Like tape, the residue was left on the paper and I could not peel it off

Handy sticky notes, but the sticky leaves a residue on my book pages

Unfortunately, they left a sticky residue on the pages of my textbooks, and I had to stop using them.

The tagged dividers work great, however after removing it from a make it leaves a sticky residue where it had been placed.

There was too much sticky residue left once the sticker was removed... reduced the functionality of the product for me

But worse of all, and the reason I am writing this review, is that the stickies are hard to peel off on most paper, and warp thin textbook paper, AND it leaves a sticky residue

I am disappointed that they leave behind a sticky residue if left on the page too long, which makes it hard to sell back or return rental textbooks

Only reason I give it 4 stars, is because it leaves a sticky residue when you remove the sticky note

With water based adhesive, these sticky notes can be written on, repositioned and removed cleanly without leaving any sticky residue

If you stick it to a desk or piece of paper the sticky residue sticks to that surface.

Luckily the pages are sturdy (D&D manuals) so they weren't
