at least 3x as much as the Percussion Plus, but with this head and correct tuning, you would be hard pressed to tell which is which, as they both sound amazing.

, It is thick and seems durable enough, just don't like the tone that much
So far it has wonderful tones, looks and feels durable enough
The tone of the drum head satisfies me and I tighten the head fairly tight on my snare (319 hz with tunebot).Price
My only complaint is that it does want to be hit just below dead center (at least on my snare) to get the best tone, and as you move out from there the pitch and sustain change a bit more noticeably than I'd like
It definitely likes to be hit hard, but even when you do lay into it there is a nice focused tone, as others have pointed out
Barker.it is great for hard hitters and can get supertight.i hope this helps
Doesn't really get much better than this if you're a hard hitter
I think it would be more appropriate to say that the reviewers here who claim this head stands up to punishment because they are hard hitters must not be hitting as hard as they think they do
Other than the fact that I can be a pretty hard hitter at times, my sticking style is not unusual or "wrong" in any way

I didn't get the chance to actually use and hear the sound of it, but I'm sure that this snare drum head is one of the best for my type of playing
I have NO complaints whatsoever about the way the head makes my snare drum sound
I definitely understand that how you strike a drum, the angle of your stick, the force you use, etc. can all contribute to your drum heads either lasting or getting trashed
This snare drum head is super thick, as well as super durable

The Emperor X drumheads are the most durable Mylar heads in the world
They’re made with two free-floating plies of 10-mil Mylar film with a 5-mil reverse black dot, which gives consistent focused warm tones which accounts for their popularity among many of today’s hardest hitting Rock drummers.
