So far it has wonderful tones, looks and feels durable enough

It definitely likes to be hit hard, but even when you do lay into it there is a nice focused tone, as others have pointed out

My only complaint is that it does want to be hit just below dead center (at least on my snare) to get the best tone, and as you move out from there the pitch and sustain change a bit more noticeably than I'd like

great tone but even better durability.
