They can be safely beaten up, abused, colored on, poked holes in, and kicked around without fear of having to buy another pair of nice, expensive, bongos.
-
I was looking for a good, basic bongo set for my child, not a toy, but a basic beginner musical instrument.
-
We love these bongos
-
After numerous poundings and kids standing on them these bongos are still holding strong.
-
The bongos are so colorful, fun to play and fun to see
-
Makes a decent bongo sound
-
I also think these bongos are a little pricey.
-
real bongos are expensive, I guess.
-
The bongos are very nice & sturdy though, and they look great with the floor tom.
-
Heads are almost a little too tight to get that nice bongo sound, perhaps they will wear in
-
I had a nice beginner bongo as a kid, I am looking for something like that- sturdy, small for small hands, and makes a solid resonant sound.
-
This is a highly durable bongo.
-
The design is colorful if repetitive and again, for a toddler these are likely the most durable bongos you'll find that are not a toy.
-
The bongos are just as sturdy and fun.
-
Perfect bongos for a toddler or young child.
-
To those several reviewers who fault the sound, well, what do you expect for twenty bucks - a good bongo set goes for $300 or so.
-

-
Great little bongos, decent sound for the size.
-
So I was hoping these inexpensive bongos would work well as spares for our drum circle, for adults or kids who don't bring their own percussion.
-
Any bongo will sound dead if you leave your hand/fingers on the head, you must "bounce" your fingers/hand off the head to allow it to vibrate
-
If you want some decent bongos to play on yourself, look elsewhere unless you're a young kid
-
We bought these bongos for him to bang on and he loves them.
-
My 5 year old daughter loves the bongos
-
My 3-year-old grandson loved these bongos
-
These are awesome bongos for a younger child.
-
But if you want a half-way decent bongo sound these are probably not the best choice.
-
If you want the authentic bongo sound, then do not buy this product
-
We've had hours of fun together with this toy -- which is also why I consider the bongos an exceptional value
-
My grandson likes to pound on things like boxes, the table, etc, so I thought he would love these bongos
-
SO glad I invested in a "better" drum rather than a super cheap-o "kid" drum
