Children seem to love to pull on the spherical clapper (the part that flings to hit the bell) and as a result of consistent pulling,few of the bells have become a little inconsistent when it comes to producing a ring everytime the button is pushed (bell rings just fine whenit's used as a traditional handbell).Dropping/throwing the bells from standing position onto the floor hasn't damaged these bells at this point (I've used them for about 3 months).Overall, I'm quite happy with this product
