The measure of a good rice cooker, IMO is not that it cooks rice, because we could all do that, on the stove....but how long it preserves the cooked rice

It’s essentially a high tech rice cooker/slow cooker, you cannot control or use it to pressure cook

but let's not get too adventurous and you will like this cooker.

It is a slow cooker, steamer, pasta cooker, chili cooker, soup and stew maker and you can even make a boatload of oatmeal

To do that, we need a good rice cooker, and we had one which met with an unfortunate accident

In addition to using this as a rice cooker, I also frequently use it to steam veggies and sometimes use it as a slow cooker

For an inexpensive rice cooker, this thing works really well, and this is based on over 10 years of cooking rice with our top-of-the-line Japanese rice cooker

It’s easy to use once you get used to it, however I found the directions a little harder to fallow than other slow cookers and rice cookers.

It works very well as a rice cooker/slow cooker, but after getting it and doing a more investigative research, I realized it is NOT a pressure cooker eve though it does come up in the search results for both "pressure cooker" and "instant pot"

My old cooker only took only 20 min this takes an hour for the brown, but when you smell it soaking it is worth every bit of time.
