Once you’ve got that motion down, you can produce clear, deep notes with your hands as well

If you’re looking to play it with your hands, there’s a specific technique to be learned (a quick flick of the wrist / sweeping motion) vs. striking the notes with force (my first approach)

While this is definitely a beginners drum, it has beautiful, deep notes and can be played easily with the mallets
