    • For the second, the thin plastic cracked by the rear camera.
    • I like the smooth plastic finish
    • The case also came with a clear plastic sticker to put over the Apple logo to protect it since there is an opening in the back

    • I know it's cheap plastic, but come one, I expected it to last a little longer.
    • Cheap plastic
    • It's more of a hard plastic with a soft rubber coating, so I expect a little less protection than a rubber case if I drop it, but it's worked fine so far on the one occasion I dropped my phone on wood floor.
    • Look elsewhere on this one... the pictures do not represent it for the cheap plastic it truly
    • The hard plastic material also means that it doesn't pull my pocket inside-out when I remove my phone from my pocket, like most silicone cases do
    • Don't waste your money on this cheap plastic product.
    • I think it was made out of sturdier stuff too, this is very cheap plastic
    • It's made of extremely thin, hard plastic that absorbs little to no shock from impact

    • It's made of smooth hard plastic and is more likely to slip out of my hand than the bare phone itself
    • Better than nothing, but plastic is too brittle it seems.
    • The Speck case is hard plastic with a narrow rubberized border, the edge of which got all chewed up from rubbing against the zipper of my pockets when I went running.
    • For my first one, the thin plastic cracked by the volume buttons.
    • but it wasn't as much of a soft rubber/plastic
    • Prefer the rubberized black version instead of this Gold slick slipery painted plastic version of this one.
    • I've loved this case -- strong, minimalist, hard plastic, and actually protects phone, UNTIL it wears & breaks
    • It's hard plastic without a shiny finish, holds close to the phone, and is super thin
    • (That case was soft plastic, but it still interfered with pushing the button.)The funny thing is that I never dropped my iPhone until a couple of weeks after I got this Ringke case
    • the plastic gets flimsy
    • The plastic is too flimsy to withstand normal use.
    • Cheap plastic garbage... not worth more than a few dollars
    • Looks great at first, but after a few months of use, it fractures, and then the cracks run through this harder plastic.
    • The Ringke has a design defect--the plastic is too weak!
    • but this case is made from the cheapest plastic imaginable
    • Very hard brittle plastic and so smooth as to be uncomfortable to the touch
    • This cover was just a piece of cheap plastic.
    • I received the item and it worked fine for a while, but eventually the plastic by the volume buttons broke and is snagging my clothes now.
    • The plastic is sturdy and all of the openings for the cameras, microphone and speakers are exactly measured.
    • But the brittle plastic is unacceptable
    • I am not sure this is entirely the cases fault, but the case could have prevented it if there was a softer material in between the hard plastic and the metal.
    • It was more of a hard plastic and when I dropped my phone at work it cracked the corner of the case
    • The sides where the plastic is the thinnest broke within a month.
    • (That case was soft plastic, but it still interfered with pushing the button.)The funny thing is that I never dropped my iPhone until a couple of weeks after I got this Ringke case
    • iPhone screen cracked as if there was no cover on iPhone 5
    • If you can somehow handle your iPhone and this case very carefully then the case will protect against scratches and dings as it should (and feel great doing it.)
    • It's not really protection as much as it is just a fashion statement.
    • My only complain is the top part of the phone is not protected a
    • I finally ended up breaking the case, but wasn't disapointed that it had protected my iphone as well as it did and as long as it did.
    • This thing lasted about a year and then died a long, slow death as it broke apart little by little
    • I do not recommend if someone is looking for a quality product as it fails to protect itself
    • n’t recommend the latter), but the poorly designed shape means you’ll be lucky if the case itself survives a few drops without breaking at the weak points.
    • To bad I really liked how thin it was.
