This makes a great midi controller for a home studio.

I don't use this for Rock Band but rather use it as a very inexpensive MIDI controller for my portable MIDI-enabled equipment.

I got this strictly as a MIDI controller - works great for that

Did not work as a midi controller tried purchasing 2 different cables for midi did not work that was the sole purpose for buying this item very disappointed

So, for less than $30 shipped you get a nice compact beefy little MIDI controller keyboard that runs on 3 AA batteries.
