Band 3 feels very much the same as previous installments in the franchise, but with some welcome new additions that keep it fresh.

The keyboard is a nice addition but for anyone with a large catalog, ultimately boring because so few songs support it

The graphics and presentation are also upgraded; nice additions

The little challenges in setlists are nice additions and give you something extra to earn

As for the pro series, the keyboard is a decent addition and forces the song list back to the 70's thru the 90's due to the fact there is very little keyboard in today's music, if you can call it that.

As with recent Guitar Hero games, you can now drop in or out of a song or set at any time, as well as change profiles during any menu screen, which is a really nice new addition to the Rock Band repertoire

Pros:Great song selection, plenty of variety, there will seriously be something for everyone; they made the band members look even better, the graphics are beautiful; addition of "pro" instruments, which are mindbogglingly hard; keytar baby!; ability do vocal harmonies; no fail mode (for those friends and family that tend to make you restart songs often); LOTS of downloadable

It's an amazingly welcome addition, and opens up the game to so many more styles of music.

The incorporation of the keyboard was a welcome addition (especially for my wife).

At it's core, this is a very well done addition with many new songs, new ways to play instruments, and of course the keyboard

The outfit unlocking system is not nearly as straightforward or enjoyable as in RB2
