Rocksmith 2014 Edition Remastered - PlayStation 4 Standard Edition

    • First thing, there is a WIDE variety of activities which all seem pretty easy to jump into.
    • The great thing is that the game is very adaptive.
    • Rocksmith walked me through it and checked the tones for me (good thing for a tone deaf guy)
    • The gameplay is a lot snappier on the PS4 with the long load times a thing of the past.
    • The great thing is that if you don't do well on a song, the game tells you where you had problems and what lessons to practice to get better.
    • Still, it does so in a mixture of skills, songs, and mini games that keep things fresh all the while
    • but I feel things are going well.
    • It's a much more impressive thing when people come in and see you playing an actual guitar as opposed to Guitar Hero/Rock Band toy guitars.
    • It's one thing to play along a song from your amp while listening to it on a speaker, and a whole other thing to play along it that perfectly blends in your playing (again sounding like the exact tone and effects) with the actual song.
    • The cool thing (for me at least) was that the software knew the problem before I did
    • And you need one very VERY important thing
    • This thing is great for a beginner, even someone who has never picked up a guitar
    • For this reviewer, there are few things more musically satisfying than genuinely testing your music mettle versus wading through mundane fundamentals only
    • It's a much more impressive thing when people come in and see you playing an actual guitar as opposed to Guitar Hero/Rock Band toy guitars.
    • The important thing to remember is you're not going to be an overnight success, you just have to keep trying and practicing.
    • and I leapt at the opportunity and this is possibly the best thing that has ever happened to me as a guitarist
