RODE PSA 1 Swivel Mount Studio Microphone Boom Arm

    • The aforementioned problem aside, I love the arm.
    • Great great great quality swing arm
    • The arm is solid and robust enough to cancel out any noise caused by touching the desk - along with that Radius II mount
    • I thought this might be a purposeful measurement discrepancy (for reasons beyond my current understanding), but the "desk insert" fits the arm snugly so that invalidates any chance that the desk clamp is supposed to leave the arm wiggling around freely at the base
    • I recommend the RODE over cheap spring-loaded arms which are not getting good reviews
    • cheaper NEEWER mic arm that I had considering it supports more and is much bigger.
    • I mounted the arm on the inside corner of an L-shaped desk and I am enjoying this setup.
    • I would definitely recommend this studio arm

    • It's a very good mic arm however there are some things about

    • I first went with the less expensive arm mount and the part where the microphone attaches to the arm broke off
    • Excellent boom arm for my Shure SM7B. Sturdy construction, strong springs and a heavy-duty base clamp
    • Best arm for any studio microphone you can get
    • arm}Pro: It works significantly better then all the cheaper mic arms for my heavy blue yeti

    • This arm is totally awesome.
    • Beautiful boom arm
    • Another dumb design choice.-Arm sounds like metal on metal when moved and does not stay in place unless there is a certain amount of weight on it
    • Less expensive arms don't compare.
    • excellent mic arm..
    • The arm itself is great
    • To use the Yeti with this Boom, and without a shock mount, you'll need to buy a small extender - if you don't the USB cable doesn't clear the arm (Hence my comment above about how the Heil has a longer rod)
    • As for the arm itself, I believe the Heil is a better arm.
    • But after reading some reviews and having past experiences with past cheap microphone arms, this one beats all
    • The top arm grinds and scratches with metal to metal contact and sounds absolutely horrid
    • Other than that, this is probably the best boom arm you will find, believe i've been in your situation
    • After I worked it back and forth, the arm became much quieter
    • Great boom arm works great.
    • well and when it rotates at the base it's smooth and doesn't sway about like cheap arm mounts can

    • I was kind of wary of spending $100 on what I saw as an accessory to my real purchase (a Blue Yeti USB mic), but this arm is, in my opinion, totally worth it.
    • It's a great heavy duty Mic arm that is even sturdy enough to hold up my Blue Yeti, 100$ seems kinda high, but I can promise it's well
    • Other than that, it's a fabulous boom arm
    • Apparently there's more work that goes into a good arm than I would have guessed
    • Overall, I think both are great arms.
    • I used a ghetto spring-loaded arm for a while to see if this style of boom even worked well for my Blue Yeti
    • This arm supports my Blue Yeti plus the RADIUS II mount perfectly
    • This arm is well worth the money.
    • Wonderful arm aside from that
    • You can cheat on the weight a bit if you get an elastic or something similar wrapped around the top arm section.
    • and I love this arm
    • Great microphone arm, and I highly recommend it
    • After using it for a little while now, I can tell you that it is easily the greatest bang for your buck when it comes to adjustable arm mounts for microphones
    • I would recommend this arm to anyone shopping in or around this price range.
    • The only problem that I face with this arm is that my blue yeti with shock mount slowly falls down, it's falls over time so it doesn't bother me, but after a week of not using I noticed it was drooping down, most mics won't face this problem but overall great arm!
    • This arm is perfect and light weight
    • You can buy cheaper boom arms, but I don't recommend it.
    • This is an amazing swivel mount that uses the weight of your mic to stabilize the arm

    • Great microphone arm for my Razer
    • This arm will automatically retract to the max length until the microphone is attached
    • I bought this boom arm after being fed up with another cheap & flimsy boom arm
    • Bought one of those cheap $10-20 arms at first and didn't like the quality of it along with its exterior tension springs
    • After looking around quite a bit, it looks like this arm is the best-reviewed offering under $300.Going into this purchase and having read reviews, my main concern was how much weight the arm could handle.
    • Two stars because I loved my Rhode Boom arm for a about two months.
    • Excellent boom arm
    • this is a great quality arm at a good price and a great investment if your a twitch streamer or pod caster.
    • The arm is now useless until I can find time for a DIY fix, which rubs even more salt in the wound, as it would have been easier and more cost effective to make the whole arm a DIY project instead
    • This boom mic arm is WELL worth the money
    • Smart materials selection and design finishes with a robust and attractive microphone arm
    • This arm is 100% worth the cost as you get what you pay for
    • The only problem that I face with this arm is that my blue yeti with shock mount slowly falls down, it's falls over time so it doesn't bother me, but after a week of not using I noticed it was drooping down, most mics won't face this problem but overall great arm!
    • Great arm, easy to install, suspension system is excellent
    • For me the decision was between this and the Heil arm which is in the same price range (This arm was $100, the Heil was $120 as this was written)Neither arm is perfect
    • Its a decent mic arm.
    • If you are looking for a boom arm that you want to be able to move without having to tighten it like you are the Hulk, or a good arm in general, get the PSA1
    • The piece in the elbow shot out and destroyed one of my lightbulbs, the arm has now become completely limp
    • Strong Arm
    • and I thought about using my old cheap arm
    • This is the strongest microphone arm i bought ever, i just have a complain for the little scratches in the paint but that probably was the UPS people throwing the boxes like chimps
    • $100 is a lot of money to us, but worth it if I know the arm will do the job well and not add any noise to my recordings
    • This is easily the best arm with the fluid movments you've been dreaming about
    • LOVE this boom arm, I was very hesitant to drop nearly $100 but is was worth every penny
    • It’s a problem you just have to live with unless you go for one of the more monstrous arms you see in studios – and at studio
    • Something to note is that it may seem like the arm is too springy when it is alone
    • The arm itself works fine.
    • Best arm for the price.
    • The top arm grinds and scratches with metal to metal contact and sounds absolutely horrid
    • My thumb screws kinda died on me but other than that is a great boom arm and serves me well

    • That mic arm is very flimsy and difficult to set into place
    • I really like this arm
    • Other than that this is a great arm and does a wonderful job.
    • My only complaint is that I tend to tighten things pretty hard and the little arm to tighten the system on the base feels kind of weak, almost like I was bending it.
    • very nice arm
    • This arm is pretty pricey, but it's worth it
    • Nice boom arm, works perfectly and was easy to set up and use
    • I tried the (much) cheaper Neewer arms but they were too flimsy and couldn't hold either mic without eventual drooping
    • Way nicer than the Neewer cheap arm.

    • This is a wonderful microphone arm
    • Omg this is the best mic arm for any mic, I live stream on twitch.tv and it's been amazing would buy again if I have to
    • and I couldn't find a good arm in any music stores
    • The parts labels give no indication that the top arm can be manually set to a specific angle
    • Very sturdy and professional boom arm
    • If you need to support a heavy load, the cheaper arms may not work
    • and you find the arm not staying in place as easy after you've positioned it (yes, it will probably spring up), try snugging up the screw at the middle joint of the boom.4
    • This is the best boom arm I have owned
    • LOVE this mic arm.
    • There are cheap boom arms you can get for about $10, and they can't really hold much weight and didn't work for the Blue Yeti with a shock mount as a cheap alternative (I tried two cheap versions and both failed)
    • The aforementioned problem aside, I love the arm.
    • So, while it's not a dead perfect $250+ arm, it's not supposed to be, and I'm not experiencing the buyer's remorse I was fighting with the first two units I got from Amazon
    • This arm works as it is supposed to and is a must have for adding a mic to your computer setup

    • The arms themselves are fine and function correctly.
    • Top notch best boom arm, no complaints, highly recommend.
    • T arm to the Mic feels very solid by comparison, and is superior with 5/8 threaded mics if you're going to move the arm during the broadcast.
    • The arm seems extremely sturdy and the spring that supports it allows the arm to hold at every angle.
    • I love this arm and i can adjust it for standing up at my desk or sitting down
    • It's a super sturdy mic arm that adjust exactly where you need it

    • If I trying to add a light weight pop filter to the Swivel Mount, the arm just comes crashing down.
    • A significant problem occurred while I tested the arm with my smaller mics, like the Olympus LS-11 handheld USB recorder and on-location mic.
    • For an arm this expensive I expected more.
    • When I loved the NEEWER arm around, it made awful squeaks, pops and you could hear in the recording/microphone that the boom arm was being moved
    • This is the greatest boom arm for radio, podcasting, and other desk usages
    • This arm is pretty pricey, but it's worth it
    • But it's still a good boom arm
    • The top arm is spring loaded, so as soon as you cut the securing tape the arms open up to a wide angle (over 120 degrees at the middle joint)
    • Amazing arm.
    • I bought a less expensive arm that turned out to be too short to move over my computer monitor and bought this
    • This is a good arm
    • This is a awesome desk arm mount
    • The arm was easy to set up and quick to mount
    • Want to take the arm somewhere else, no problem just lift the arm out of the desk mounting bracket and use the portable clamp mount.
    • This arm is awsome
    • Well make and extends farther than cheaper arms.
    • I recommend this arm if you understand all of the issues I presented and you have deemed them to be of little consequence for your needs.
    • It has a wider base to provide stability, and the arm itself is free-
    • The Blue Compass broke when I had tried to tighten it down to use and is now at a landfill somewhere and was an expensive arm that didn't work
    • After taking it to a repair shop to see what the problem was, it appears the pin that was supposed to hold the spring in place at the bottom of the intersection for the top arm was not fitted through the spring's bent wire hole
    • Arm is easily detachable from the table mount in-case you rapidly need to drop the mic.
    • But they missed the mark on creating a quiet boom arm.

    • This is a good looking mic arm that functions well
    • The arm is easy to move and is able to support the weight of the Blue Yeti with no issues.
    • Love the boom arm, quality is great, just wish it had better cable management built in.
    • and I find that the arm often drops on its own - unable to support the weight of it
    • The PSA1 swivels easily without making a sound, and the microphone (AT2020) stays in an upright position when extending or retracting the arm.
    • : It will seem like the arm pops up and the mount is dysfunctional if there is no mic attached to it
    • This arm is fantastic, at first I was worried the spring was too strong but it actually works great once the weight of the microphone is on there.
    • No Damaging Desk!-Arm is super durable and definitely worth the price
    • Excellent arm with solid construction
    • So before I review this let me say that this is an expensive boom arm
    • While I like this arm, there is one significant issue for me.

    • This arm is sturdy and has a great build quality with two mounting options
    • This arm may seem expensive but it is the best quality arm out there
    • I’ve bought like 5 of the poopy 15 dollar mic arms and they always end wearing out or breaking fast
    • No wonder why this arm was so hard to find.
    • As a result, the PSA 1 arm risks damaging both the mic leads and inputs, without the utmost care rendering the configurability of the arm moot while in use
    • So, while it's not a dead perfect $250+ arm, it's not supposed to be, and I'm not experiencing the buyer's remorse I was fighting with the first two units I got from Amazon
    • That works as it is intended to do so.
    • Might also help vibrations as
