RODE PSA 1 Swivel Mount Studio Microphone Boom Arm

    • I've abused it quite a bit and it continues to exceed my expectations
    • A bit pricey in terms of mic boom arms, but it works great and I would definitely recommend if you got the cash to throw at it
    • I rate this as a good product, just I'm the unlucky one that had something a tiny bit loose :)I am using a Blue Yeti with a pop filter, and had ordered the Blue Shock mount as well
    • Bit of a tip with the table clamp, use a bit of scrap cloth like a cut up washcloth folded in half
    • I would have returned the arm for a new one; it's very disappointing for a nice bit of (not inexpensive!
    • It wobbles a bit when you move it around
    • I've tried a couple other and seem a bit flimsy compared to the Rode.
    • This one blows that out of the water completely and is a good bit bigger as well
    • After a few hours of playing around with the new arm, my Yeti mounted in the shock mount with a pop filter started drooping a bit.
    • A bit disappointing but not worth sending back.
    • By tightening the screws on the PSA-1, it will hold the weight well enough and remain moveable; however, it starts to droop a bit as the screws loosen.
    • It's a bit expensive for a mic arm but it's also the most popular mic
    • It handles the weight perfectly on the Rode microphone, though the Blue snowball microphones with the extras are a *tiny* bit too much weight (they mostly stay where you put them, but can creep down a bit with gravity)
    • I was a bit skeptical about this, and bought when recommended by a friend
    • I have noticed after having this for about 6 months it has started to sag just a bit under the weight of my microphone.
    • A bit pricey in terms of mic boom arms, but it works great and I would definitely recommend if you got the cash to throw at it
    • That tiny bit is inconsequential.
    • You can cheat on the weight a bit if you get an elastic or something similar wrapped around the top arm section.
    • I drilled it out approx 2 sizes bigger and put a normal screw and a long "nut" that comes with many household lighting/fanfixures for extension (so I had something to grip with pliers).Tightened that down fairly snug now I can move it around a good bit without it becoming loose anymore
    • It's quiet and smooth, and is every bit as good as the
    • Out of the box = excellent bit of kit
    • It's quite a bit more expensive than similar desk clamp arms on Amazon.
    • Worked exactly as I
    • well I bent the screw in the vice
    • PL-2T Boom Arm, you won't be disappointed.
