While it does have a setting to use if there is lots of background noise, I find that I rarely have to use it

Not great for huge events or indoors as picks up lots of extra static, but for small groups, getting background noise and on the go audio, its a win.

I compared this against the "stereo" versions but am almost always glad I'm not capturing too much background noise in my videos.

It picked up no interference, and frankly has a farther reach and does a better job of cancelling out background noise

Amazing sound, reduces background noise so surprising speech and voice is very clear

but it doesn't give you anywhere near the control needed to adjust the sensitivity between a voice vs background noise

It always seems hit-or-miss as to how it fits, but it eventually falls into place

but you must be careful with the 20 ft cord as it can break if you don't handle it with TLC
