The VideoMic Go suffers from intense popping and static noises

I video in frequent breezes, and this mic easily cancelled out all the extraneous noise

I can only use it indoors because if I'm moving at all outside then it will make a constant static noise that ruins my footage

I could not find any flaws in the appearance, however when I used it for to record my son's play that he was in, about 80% of the videos I recorded had a squealing & static noise over the voices.

When using the on board mic on my devices it got pretty good audio (if i yelled) but there was this annoying hissing sound (white noise)

I use the original Gopro 3.5mm mic adaptor and I get this whine noise in the background

I gave it 4 stars due to the fact that I have gotten some odd feedback noise that I've had to work around

It seems that this mic pics up nothing when not powered on (by 9 volt) and when turned on, as stated before, you get a hissing noise

It worked pretty well to isolate some noise but the iPhone mic did just as well and was clearer for conversations.

Nothing made it more obvious then receiving it today, opening the package, plugging the mic into my phone, and hearing this aggravating popping noise

Used on a samsung galaxy s7 edge it makes the sound significantly louder but static noise makes it useless.

However (and maybe it's the one I received) but the absorbent makes the mic move a lot and with the dead cat, it hits against the actual camera making a lot of unwanted noise

it will still pick up backup noise and may sometimes mess up ... but for the price, I think it was a great investment for me!

BUY at your own risk, I'm a blogger and this has destroyed many of my video, can't be used because CRACKING noise to loud over power my voice.

Unless you REALLY need to isolate your ambient noise, I would say the in-cam iPhone 7 mic is sufficient, and for interviews, I'd go ahead and shell out the cash for the Rode lav+ with extender cord.

However, when I plugged it into my Canon 60D, all it picked up was static noise

i have nothing but good things to say, well, only 1 thing: when the mic is attached to my cellphone, and the wireless or data (either one) is turned on, the microphone will actually pick up the sound of data being transmitted and received.i actually "returned" because i thought it was picking up some kind of weird noise.

Every video that I create with this mic has had a intermittent clicking noise in it

All i get is static digital noise with a handful of different phones.

Even a slight breeze is picked up as super annoying wind noise.
