Came with a fuzzy dead cat thing to cut down wind noise and it works quite well

Great compared to any on camera mic i still get some grain when i record at times but still a useful thing to have for anyone who shoots video since its so compact

The good thing about this microphone is that you don't need to have any kind of power source to use it

While not as good as having a mic attached to the person speaking, this Rode microphone has been the next best thing.)

after tidying up the MXL adapter by molding the female jack to the mini USB jack at 90 degrees (pointing up), that greatly improved things

As a result I haven't taken it out until I find the right... idk, box thing

I've been using this Mic for around 6 months now and I can't say enough good things about it

This thing does not work AT ALL with the NIKON D3300

Otherwise you won't enjoy how amazing this thing is for 50 bucks

After five minutes of recording a noise like static starts and gets louder over there next five minutes until the only thing you can hear is the noise of static

This little thing does wonders

i have nothing but good things to say, well, only 1 thing: when the mic is attached to my cellphone, and the wireless or data (either one) is turned on, the microphone will actually pick up the sound of data being transmitted and received.i actually "returned" because i thought it was picking up some kind of weird noise.

This thing is tiny, and that's a good thing

Best thing is there is no battery's involved.

Haven't used it much but expecting great things!

My one complaint is the tiny thing only comes with a *huge* deadcat wind muff, and there do not seem to be options for a small, foam wind muff like I would prefer

This thing doesn't turn off with your camera and although this isn't a design flaw, it will sneak up and bite you sometimes

You do need to use the fuzzy thing almost all the time because even the slightest winds will kill the quality.

I use this microphone everyday for my vlog and can't say enough good things about it

This thing is so perfect

Since I don't have a DSLR that has an audio input I thought the next best thing would to have my iPhone record sound and this Rode mic does this perfectly

Furry windscreen is a definite plus too--those things are expensive!

Another thing worth mentioning is that the cap for the microphone to hold steady is insanely hard to pull off

Nice enough thing, unfortunately does not fit the Galaxy Note 4 or likely any phone with the camera on the same end as the headphone jack.

Only thing that would give better audio would probably be a lav mic, but that's not very portable or mobile for a phone.

The thing doesn’t work

This thing really improves the audio quality on an iPhone or other smartphone a ton when shooting video

But the real important things should be that it plug into any device and not have any noise issues.

Glad there are no batteries in it, less thing to worry about.
