As I wrote above, the black one has a hotter pickup than the others, but the hardware is essentially the same on all three

The pickup works well, the carrying case and legs are sturdy enough, and it has been a great entry-level lap steel for sure.

I would have liked the option to get better quality tuners and pickup, but overall I recommend this lap steel!
