If you are shooting with more prehistoric Nikon and Canon bodies you'll probably want to use the lens on a tripod so you can depend on Live View and magnification to get sharp focus
-
Focus is a little soft, but overall great lens
-
EVEN though it is a T1.5 the lens is terrible in low light, this thing is happy and sharp around T3 but the focus makes it useless
-
Love the smooth focusing and aperture ring
-
The focus-pull ring is amazing and I get some really cool rack-focus shots using my shoulder rig.
-
The lens has super smooth quiet focusing and as well as aperture
-
If you are looking for a photography lens you will be only disappointed this then is built to give you beautiful focus but will look more like grain in photos
-
I would recommend getting some super-wide angle lenses if you are shooting on a crop sensor like the BMCC as it more than doubles the focal length on these cameras (this one equates to about an 80mm).The lenses are nice and heavy, suggesting a good build, and the focus is smooth
-
I like the de-clicked aperture that produces smooth focusing
-
One of the better cine lenses I have in almost every way; has a beautifully smooth aperture ring, a pretty hardy body considering the material (I have full metal cine lenses that feel cheaper than this), little to no breathing when focusing, and razor sharp focusing
