I'd researched and bought the Roku 4 for it's features, including ability for wired ethernet (faster, more stable connection for better image quality), the audio features, etc.

It also greatly outperforms the so called "smart" features on my Samsung Smart TV.The price of this product is easily justified if you just buy the regular version of a TV instead of a "Smart" TV and use the Roku 4 instead.

The find your remote feature is nice but is entirely pointless when the system constantly freezes

You don't need to get a SmartTV, because this thing provides any "Smart" features you would need, without the headache of Samsung updates.
