It has very few codecs, a sluggish interface, and the app crashes all the time (on all my Rokus).

Even the interface is better

For those of you who are looking to cut the cord, this is a start - but the interface is not the best.

If that's all you need it for, it seems to be great for that.--The interface seems fast and smooth.

The second one, the Roku 4 I am reviewing, works much better but there a few things which bother me; no power button, it can only be turned off only after navigating thru 5 menus; the interface on some of the apps are very blunt and/or simply plain, the fan, yes, it has a fan, is noisy when in use, some of the automatic features, like sleeping, do not work sometimes, hence the fan; it does not have bluetooth capabilities, like apple devices, some purists would call me names because of this, since it actually communicates to the audio in the remote via bluetooth (you can connect headphones to the remote muting the sound anywhere else) on the positive side it can access Amazon and Vudu apps, it sports 4K capabilities, a must for new TV's,I also I could state the idea of the Roku is better but the performance, although I understand it is affected by various factors like Wi-Fi speed, applications design and capabilities, completely out of the Roku device itself, could be better

A great improvement over the last model, it's fast, great interface, and absolutely LOVE the option to plug headphones in the remote.

On the plus side, the hardware looks nice, has an ethernet port, and has a very nice and friendly interface.

Its not the same, the interface is far more superior and you have thousands (no exaggeration) of channels to choose from

Fast interface

In my opinion the Roku is far superior to competitors (I have owned several other streamers) and user interface continues to improve.

The interface is easy to use, it's powerful and therefore fast to respond, and it plays HD video like a boss

While there's a huge range of apps available the interface looks silly and dated on larger 4K TV's

I bought roku 4 from bestbuy, it is gripped with lot of problems like overheating, freezing, grainy interface issues and the remote out of syn or not working issues

This Roku 4 is very easy to setup and has a super nice interface.

I bought a Roku 2 and gave it to my sister because while the interface, remote and other features are great, the playback of the files on my computer SUCKED!!!However, with the release of the Roku 4 and the development of Plex, I decided it was finally time to give it another chance.
