I like this product a lot
-
It freezes a lot, constantly has to get restarted
-
Side note: I had a bad storm and the power surge and burnt out a lot of my devices, tv, routers, tv boxes and the roku
-
It has a gagillion apps and a lot of them are free
-
A lot of times, it just freezes, and you have to back out to the home screen.
-
thanks a lot for your
-
Gets way too hot, freezes up a lot, remote doest not always respond, constantly having to shut off and on again
-
It seems to overheat a lot.
-
Besides the poor remote, and the dim power-on indicator, and the times Roku fails to power-up properly, I like Roku a lot
-
Big fan of Roku and love a lot of the features of this model
-
From freezing screens at 200 MBPs connection to quickly draining batteries of the remote, Roku has been giving me a lot of problems and with Chromecast evolving, NVidia Shield 2017 costing $199 and TV having apps built into
-
And it overheats A LOT even when I'm not using
-
The Roku 4 has lots of channels and will satisfy 99% of all buyers
-
The remote is simple enough that folks intimidated by technology won't be afraid to pick it up and use it - so if you have luddite parents who want to watch "House of Cards", they're going to find this a hell of a lot easier to use than something like a ChromeCast.
-
A lot less clunky
-
The only negative is on YouTube, the app freezes a lot when playing video.
-
You need to remove them and install HBO GO and Showtime Anytime from the Roku app store - this is not mentioned anywhere, so you will need to waste lots of time figuring it out (like I did) or take my advice
-
Struggled a lot with the setup for the first couple hours but worked okay after reseting unit.
-
Works great, easy install, lots of programming
-
otherwise, I like it a lot
-
I've read all the forums I came across and a lot of people have had the same issue.
