Roku says that if I had purchased the unit and warranty from Roku, they would send to me, and send a call tag to send the defective unit back

If this unit is overkill, the newer Roku stick work well too but is definitely not at the same level as the Roku 4.

The an error message appeared saying the unit to too hot and has to been unplugged.

There is no fix, and they refuse to replace the defective units with working units.

This unit runs warmer and a little noisier than her older brother (Roku 3) but having the 4k functionality is nice for future upgrades.

Roku 4 gets extremely hot, short battery life and unit has a tendency to stall on the regular causing you to either turn off unit or remove batteries .. upon further investigation on the internet, I discovered that remote freezing is common and instructions on how to fix this issue was posted

Not sure if mine was an average unit or not but it worked perfgectly when I got it

The unit works very well and I am using it in wireless mode (5G), never had any buffering or issues at all

THE UNIT WORKS FINE

In this day and age where most people are energy conscious, coupled with the fact this unit gets VERY warm (indicating large power draw), I am simply shocked that the remote has no 'off' power button.
