Roku Ultra | Streaming Media Player 4K/HD/HDR with Premium JBL Headphones 2019

    • I will tell you, after going through Amazon Fire TVs, Apple TVs, Roku's, Smart TVs, Xbox's, chromecast, etc, there is only 1 device that handles almost everything, and that is the Roku.
    • I am super happy for when my husband is watching tv he can use the private listening feature and not disturb me while I'm sleeping
    • (better than the hassle of a whole new bigstreen TV!)
    • The faster processor definitely beats waiting for Chromecast or "smart" TV to load
    • I love Roku anyway because they have such a simple remote and the tv is easy to navigate, but this remote has a power button and volume control so it actually becomes a universal remote to control your TV as well as your Roku Internet streaming products.
    • The video quality is noticeably better than our previous setup (using smart TV apps), and the remote "just worked" out of the box for good measure
    • ’s tv is great also
    • it's now just like a smart Roku TV, only this on has the ability to plug in headphones to the remote
    • the smart TV's stock OS.It's been a few months, and signal has started cutting out to the TV, leaving a black screen as it loads video often missing the first few seconds of whatever I'm trying to watch
    • But it looks like I’m headed back to smart tv apps again
    • First, to solve the problem of no appleTV support and a slow smart tv menus, I got the Roku Ultra (awesome!
    • Apps load and populate shows instantly, no frame loss, no buffering, just perfect! The remote adds a universal volume control/power button to work your TV, had no problem with my Samsung LED that's probably 9 years old now
    • My new TV is internet streaming ready and it does get all of the usual streaming services in HD 1080dpi or 4
    • We have ordered a second one for another room in our home that did not have a smart TV in it.
    • over the limited streaming on our Vizio Smart TV
    • I purchased this Roku to replace the Smart TV tuner in a VIZIO TV
    • I have a sharp TV that is a LCD
    • I got tired of relying on the smart TV interface.
    • I have a Samsung Smart TV, but I wanted a Roku because I like the interface a lot more and I wanted something that will have continual updates
    • Nice features - Mainly bought it for Philo TV as my smart TV is not so smart
    • We have a 75" TV in our Family Room that we were using the built in smart TV function to view content
    • better then my $800 smart TV!
    • purchased 2 of these because I was annoyed at my "smart tv's" which are pretty trash over time.1 of these Roku works flawlessly
    • For now it it is, but I plan on purchasing a new smart tv that runs off android and this box is really there for what is either better or can't be done on the android platform
    • After being frustrated for years with Fire Stick and Visio smart TV, I decided to give the a Roku a try
    • I've considered buying the roku's, nvidia's shield tv, and all the streaming devices to work on my smart tv that refuses to work with my modem, but I finally found a solution.
    • We purchased an expensive tv that supposedly had the features we needed.
    • If you want the dumbest ‘smart’ TV in the planet then go ahead and get yourself a Vizio Smart TV
    • I personally prefer the Roku interface to that of many proprietary smart TVs
    • With this item it is like I have a smart TV.
    • The remote also works the TV on/off and volume
    • Upgrading my TV to Smart TV
    • I can buy a great TV later without that crap

    • The remote works as a TV remote (power & volume as well as for navigating the Roku home menu and apps
    • I have an older smart TV and the Roku is 100% better.
    • If you want the dumbest ‘smart’ TV in the planet then go ahead and get yourself a Vizio Smart TV
    • but it’s already out of the 30-day return period and didn’t want to go through the hassle of selling it online that I almost thought of just disposing my dumb tv altogether
    • I was amazed at how vivid the picture was on my Sharp TV
    • The screen quality looks great on our plasma TV
    • The one I received was replacing an older 4K model that for some reason didn’t support Apple TV, still confused as 4K is newer and you would think there wouldn’t be an issue
    • Love the ease of use, and having all streaming apps at our finger tips vs the smart TV interface.
    • but I did have to make adjustments on my older smart tv
    • Downloaded my family's favorite TV apps
    • At the moment, my TV only supports 720p but looking for 4K non-smart options ... which don't exist.
    • But I can finally find tv shows i like (3 )
    • First, to solve the problem of no appleTV support and a slow smart tv menus, I got the Roku Ultra (awesome!
    • When I spend money on a streaming device and my smart tv already has most of the features I expect some benefit.
    • For those considering the Shield TV keep in mind it DOES NOT support the VP9.2 codec and is thus not capable of youtube HDR playback due to the limitations of its processor
    • My TV that had the problem is a Vizio E-Series
    • Love the interface, hate that it's still proprietary (e.g. Kodi isn't supported) but most of all YouTube TV constantly freezes with a black screen when trying to change from one network to another.
    • We have an LG smart TV (don't get me started on how terrible it is!) and use the roku instead
    • Special characters and non-English letters are not essentially supported so you do not see the name of content of your folders!Several video files with perfect audio (that can be played in any other devices like laptops, my LG smart tv, my old and deprecated Western Digital media player) become soundless with no solution to fix
    • Now I can easily watch my shows and movies that are available on the apps that are not compatible with my smart TV.
    • Freezing my TV and saying there is no connection when there clearly is
    • The device itself was very simple to set up, just follow the easy instructions and tada, a whole bunch of free TV and movies including local news
    • I love it.!It steams way faster than my smart TV.
    • Youtube and YouTube tv work good
    • It's nice having smart TV technology, but the TV's don't always do a great job with the Smart function
    • My old TV died & I upgraded to 4K QLED and this Roku works awesome
    • Maybe with a more modern up to date TV that wouldn't be an issue(?) but that remains to be seen when i eventually get something bigger, better, and "smarter".
    • I would buy this product again and I would recommend it to anyone looking to cut the cable/break the dish, and make their not so smart TV a very smart TV.

    • It was bought to replace the irritating Apple TV
    • Bought this to use with a Samsung "Smart" TV for streaming TV.
    • It even loaded viewing apps faster than a new Samsung smart TV.
    • We have a Roku TV in the bedroom and a Roku Premium on our good TV in the family room.
    • I bought this Roku product to pair with my new Samsung smart TV
    • Converts any TV into a smart TV, easy set up except the on screen keyboard is a pain but after setup it's all voice & button control
    • (better than the hassle of a whole new bigstreen TV!)
    • This thing is waaaaayyyy faster than the Roku Express or the Smart TV built in.
    • Nice addition to my dumb TV
    • n’t feel well, and just want to stay in bed.
