    Roland Synthesizer, 37 Keys (JD-XI)

    • So if you do voice over, or vocals or whatever, this thing is a great audio interface for that as well, letting you record straight into your favorite DAW with again, just the one USB cable
    • The interface is fine if you're creating/writing at home but given the portability of the JD-Xi, the clunky controls get in the way of spontaneity and the ability to capture the moment anywhere without stopping the groove plus the home user would better served by a full sized synth anyway.
    • And by the way, the JD XI works VERY WELL as a digital interface
    • but Roland went with a clunky interface controlled by arrows instead of knobs with features hidden by a "shift" button
