the larger antenna works great for NOAA WX, broadcast FM, and as pictured

Like the longer antenna as well
-
This is true of any type of receiver; and often enough a poorly made radio with a well matched impedance and tuned antenna can out perform a top notch radio with a cheap antenna.
-
The larger antenna is also great.
-
Nothing much you can do about that except placing a better antenna elsewhere
-
The antennae are better and they came with both an extendable antenna and a small antenna, depending what frequency you are working
-
like the two antennas with sma connecters
-
I would recommend this for is Short Wave Listening enthusiasts who have a simple home system set up, such as a dedicated computer and a beverage antenna.
-
The antenna is way nicer than the the ones typically shipped with cheaper dongles
-
The antenna is functional but you will need to buy a better antenna for the best reception
-
You should get one and use it since the strain of moving the antenna around or bumping the dongle is a little unnerving
-
This one appears to be better constructed (metal case), has a better antenna, and has a more accurate frequency reference
-
The device worked great out of the box and the included antennas performed surprisingly well
-
I think a better antenna setup would help bring in more
-
Given that I can receive AM and SW bands, I don't see why it wouldn't also work on the ham bands with a proper antenna arrangement
-
Included antennas are actually useful and enable you to get up and running right away.
-
Stable and has a good, useful antenna connector
-
Priced right, packaged well, includes a couple different antennas, and works well.
-
Following the instructions for using a simple dipole V orientation (using the included tripod), the antenna was perfectly capable of receiving from the NOAA weather satellites
-
Good quality and have no complaints other than the cheap antennas that were thrown
-
Supplied antennas don’t do too well from a basement.
-
Do invest in a better antenna if you intend to follow HF/SW/LW as the included antenna is not sufficient
-
A receiver is only as good as the antenna.
-
Also, the antenna is somewhat rubbish.
-
ANTENNA IS USELESS
-
The two antennas are handy, but IT IS IMPORTANT that you place the magnetic antenna mount on something metal
-
With a bit of tinkering (and a better antenna) you can pick up just about any broadcast.
-
For frequencies over 30 Mhz, you will need the appropriate FM antenna.
-
For $5 more the antennas are an excellent bargain.
-
The long antenna is great
-
The included antennas work well for strong signals
-
The antenna is a major improvement over the standard style that comes with other rtlsdrs.
-
The antennas in this package made it usable for me
-
A decent HF antenna is a must
-
but if you are buying this for the antenna just buy the dongle and find a better antenna.
-
Now need to get a better antenna.
-
This SDR is more sensitive than other DVB dongles not tweaked for SDR.The antenna mounts are cute and the antenna is versatile
-
The small antenna is stated to work on 2m and up, but it just doesn't do diddly-squat, which I could confirm with several other radios set to the same frequency as the SDR with this antenna, and they receive fine.
-
Need a better antenna for HF/shortwave I think.
-
I did have the same problems with intermittent connection between the ground and the magnet/foil on the mag mount antenna
-
I enjoy playing with it, but I need to get some better antenna stuff
-
Great antennas, dongle is quite capable.
-
The tall antenna works great for me and was a nice surprise
-
The antennas that come with it are fine but it is easy enough to plug in a better antenna and you will be amazed at what this thing can pull in.
-
Nice antenna package too
-
Other SDR come with a small cheap antenna that won't receive much at all
-
Good as
-
I like it, it works as they said
-
The dongle recognized easily and the short dipole antenna actually works out as just about the right length for use.
-
the dongle). The dongle itself tuned cleanly and crisply, and whereas my earlier unit had a 54 ppm deviation off frequency, the new unit has sat happily at zero correction and that is as close to perfect as I can tell
-
Sensitivity seems to be better than the standard 820T as well
-
The extra antennas (one small ~12" and one big ~6') are easily worth the extra $5.One other note about the amp draw: other sdr's (the dvb-t type) work fine on a Raspberry Pi 2, but this one seems to pull too much current and doesn't work for me.
