This is the best RTL2832U based receiver I have (I also have 2x e4000 and 1x R820T tuners).

Very sensitive receiver.,Lacks image rejection.,Easy fix using notch filters.

Seems very sensitive and selective, every bit as good as a mid priced receiver like the R75 on MW and SW or a good VHF/UHF scanner - and as a bonus free gift, a couple of software selections that are very well explained on the above website, and it's a LW/MW/SW receiver

But even then, it is not a robust receiver if you're looking for emergency news and weather reception.

I can use it as a panoramic receiver on VHF Amateur bands, and leave it tuned to a favorite repeater to listen, but see if there is activity elsewhere
