They are a good solid black that flows easily, and dries almost instantly, allowing me to erase my pencils as soon as the drawing is done, and then get right to work on

They're such a vibrant black, and it works really well if you like doing traditional linework and then scanning it in to color traditionally; my lines never lose any of their darkness in the process
