Well designed with large sticky silicone pad (almost as large as the flat surface metal plate) to secure whatever you place on it so it doesn't slide off at all.

I wish it came with some non slip tape vs the nasty silicone sticky gel pad it comes with.

This also comes with a sticky silicone pad that measures 12 x 7 5/78 inches to hold a mixer or laptop firmly in place

The sticky silicone mat keeps my expensive keyboard in place very nicely.
