• Reviews around disk (1.88 of 5)

    Samsung 850 PRO - 512GB - 2.5-Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-7KE512BW)

    • I then replaced the old hard disk of my Macbook Pro early 2011 with the 850 Pro and installed Yosemite from a backup, the system was working fine
    • The included disk was not working, but I easily ddownloaded it from Samsung web site
    • changed from hard disk drive
    • Disk failed within 1 year.
    • Save battery life for my laptop much more than the traditional hard disk
    • I wanted to replace my MBP 2009 hard disk as it had turned very slow and I wanted to try SSD so as to improve the overall performance
    • I have programs and the operating system on this SSD and files on a WD Black 1 TB hard disk.
    • I tried to use the cable to my other hard disk (which is showing in the hardware status) to connect it, not good
    • It even goes as far as to automatically disable disk fragmentation (which you NEVER want to do on an SSD) and instead offers "optimization" which routinely trims the drive to keep it running quickly
    • Third, I waited to write this review primarily because it's been in my experience when reading reviews that drives especially - be it hard disk or solid state, that are going to fail, tend to have a tendency to fail within a month or two after purchase
    • Great disk.
    • I tried hard disk reader to read the SSD, not good
    • The Samsung Magician application is very handy for tuning the disk.
    • I tried to use the cable to my other hard disk (which is showing in the hardware status) to connect it, not good
    • If you don't your disk will degrade and die and early death , promise
    • SABRENT 2.5 to 3.5 Inches Internal Hard Disk
    • And I tried to connect the cable to the SSD to my other hard disk, and its showing in hardware status
    • I will need to have a new hard disk to REINSTALL my system, and REUPGRADE to win 10!!!!!
    • Re-installed the old hard disk and did a complete clean re-installation of Yosemite, backed that up on time machine
    • I have a Sony Laptop that I routinely got the next larger hard disk for it as capacities increased
    • I also used the SABRENT 2.5 to 3.5 Inches Internal Hard Disk Drive Mounting Kit to mount this new hard drive in the space I had for the old hard drive.
    • Great disk but does not give the advertised benchmark
    • it was the best, had best guarantee, and was safe to change from her old hard disk to this). So the 4 star has nothing to do with performance, its just the artificial high price that has not moved in nearly 2
    • I chose to install this drive internally and connected it to the next available (Disk 1 sata) slot on my motherboard since Disk 0 was already taken by my HDD.
    • they are very fast at this price point why buy a mechanical hard disk drive
    • The desktop is running perfectly with an incredible fast disk read/write cycle
    • Disk access much faster than the traditional SATA HDDs
    • The frame rate is 1/4 the speed of a desktop, and overclocking will make short work of killing your CPU, drive(s), GPU(s) and motherboard
    • I was able to enable by Googling around for the correct machine code (don’t need extra software), and Office took a few calls and online chat sessions to figure out, but that’s not Samsung’s fault.
