After getting the BD-D5500 and setting both the player and TV to "BD-Wise"---EVERY movie, tv show (DVD, Blu-ray, streaming Netflix, and broadcast TV) has been PERFECT

[2011 MODEL] is a fine Blu-Ray and DVD player, but needs lots of improvement for the streaming apps and a networking problem.

It works almost as well as the twelve year old Panasonic DVD player it replaced!

Too much hassle to just watch a DVD.

Although the Samsung has a great Blu-Ray/DVD picture, the wi-fi performance leaves MUCH to be desired.

We tried regular DVD's, still nothing worked

It plays regular DVD's, Blu-Ray's and 3-D movies very well

But as for the Samsung products, when they work, its beautiful, so nice to use the tv remote to control the blu-ray player, and all the optimal picture settings and 3-D settings work automatically because of the Samsung connection
