    Samsung BD-D5700 3D Blu-ray Disc Player (Black) [2011 MODEL]

    • I had the same streaming issues and remote control problems it seems like virtually everyone else here did, but the most aggravating problem I have is that every few weeks or so, the playback of any DVD starts "jumping," getting progressively worse until I have to reset the player to factory settings.
    • Installed available updates, no problem.
    • Constant problems with Netflix not working and Hub freezing via automatic software updates
    • I had no problems with this player and continue to enjoy it, I highly recommend it if you are looking for a player that is easy to use and set up
    • I even bought a relay unit for my wireless router to try and make the streaming better, but the system still had stuttering problems and lost signal.
    • but it turns out that all those "we are having trouble playing this title right now..." messages, constant buffering issues, and missing titles in searches was a Samsung problem
    • I watched several hours of streaming Netflix yesterday and never had an interruption or problem with service (I LOVE the Netflix button on the remote - makes access just that much quicker), and the DVD playback is also really nice.
    • The one annoying problem is the number of remotes involved.
    • It's not worth the extra 50-60 bucks if you can't use the Internet, and the company that makes it doesn't care enough about customer satisfaction to rectify the problem.
    • The problem is exacerbated by the fact that keypress response on the remote is slow, so entering an e-mail to use Netflix in the SmartHub is measured in millenia, not seconds."UltraFastPlay" disc loading was was neither fast nor ultra
    • I should note that I am using the very same wireless network (802.11n, 450 Mbps) with the Samsung as I was with the Roku, so the problems lie within the Samsung Netflix app
    • Update: I found that disabling the wifi solved the choppy playback problem.
