If you rewind for a few seconds or pause the movie, it comes back right away, but it's a pain every time you use it.

The Samsungs had a slow load time reviews (time it takes to power up the player and play a movie) and the Sony models apparently had some spotty WiFi video steaming (Netflix, Hulu, YouTube)

Most times I had to reset the unit at least once or twice to complete a movie because the unit froze up.

Netflix rebuffs all the time and sometimes won't even work.

Just last weekend, while trying to watch a Netflix streaming movie, the stream was interrupted so many times for rebuffering that, out of shear frustration, I disconnected the Samsung and re-installed the Roku XD

because it works 1 time out of 4, and because it's a good blu-ray player, we haven't replaced it

The major impediment to using this is their old cell-phone keyboard format (press "1" slowly 3 times for c) and no option for a virtual Qwerty arrow around keyboard

They take a long time to load and my player crashes once in awhile when I'm using them

As with all Bluray players (as I have learned) slow loading times are to be expected

I've read reviews that have complained about slow loading times, and the fact that it "updates" itself

Every time there is a problem you will have to delete al the apps you downloaded by resetting the player to factory defaults and re-download everything

We tried to play several DVD and 2 blu-ray discs and had an issue every time, it will play good and then the volume will turn off, play them again and no volume at all

Some problems are minor (slow load times, occasional skipping) to major (not being able to play a disc at all or the disc stopping halfway though)

The only real con (outside of the slow loading time which afflict all Bluray players) is that its black gloss texture is a dust magnet - but it is not something that semi regular wiping can't rememdy
