    Samsung BD-D6500 3D Blu-ray Disc Player (Black) [2011 MODEL] (2011 Model)

    • Only have used the 3D aspect a few times, but very nice picture on our Samsung Smart TV.
    • So if your not too concerned with Smart TV apps( which are now working for me ), or too worried about playing files off of your PC( which I think it does, but I haven't a use for.
    • The set-up of the blu ray player took a little bit longer because I had to create new accounts for samsung smart tv, not a big deal just takes some time to finish.
    • I bought a new cell phone today (had the Galaxy SII, COMPLETELY bug-ridden), put my mediocre Samsung TV on craigslist, and contacted my attorney and filed a formal complaint with the BBB
    • I'll be buying anything but a Samsung player to replace this, and likely avoid Samsung if I ever get a new TV as well.
    • the SMART TV features is fraught with danger
    • the Samsung Blu ray player w/ SMART TV does not have the browser (heads up)
    • Very simple installation with the HDMI cable to my Samsung LED 46" TV, all from Amazon.
    • So far it has worked fine with no glitches when hooked up to a 46" Samsung LED TV
    • Now as far as the Smart TV apps are concerned I did try to watch a movie on Vudu as it gave me a free rental, and after I selected a movie( Machete ), the player locked up
    • In auto mode with a compatible Samsung TV, both units will try to play at the highest settings
    • Software upgrades are available and are easy to download from the web via my samsung smart tv.
    • Smart tv is bad implemented, there is no buffer for streaming purposes, usb video player was the best until firmware 1023 and later is bothering with a called cinavia something, if you buy
    • Ironically when I turn it on, it takes over the settings of an older samsung tv (not a smart tv) which I find odd, but it is OK.I also wish the DNLP worked a little more user friendly / plug/play.
    • I got this player with a new Samsung LED TV, and was told to get a Samsung player to compliment the TV...which I had no problem with
    • I think they look better on my TV than on my computer (probably due to some up-scaling?)- For reference, the Blu-Ray connects directly to a Samsung 46" LED UND46D6400 TV (also 3-D capable) via HDMI
    • I have a wii and a tv which play netflix fine
    • Like I said, OLD TV.
    • Also, there are not very many Smart TV Apps, and some of the apps that they do have do not work very well.
    • This can be problematic to those who would buy the wrong TV thinking their player will do what their TV doesn't
    • The Smart TV aspect mimics what I have on the Samsung 60-D6420 LED TV with a few extras thrown in
    • Other options I don't care about becausemy LG-55 in LCD-3D smart TV has those other options
    • Your TVs are the bomb though
    • God forbid if your amp is set to this connection; will automatically switch the TV to the amp even though you haven't touched the blu ray player (and it was off), and just want to switch the TV back to cable.
    • I recently purchased a Samsung 60-D6420 LED TV which is fantastic
    • Verry good, so slim, have so much features like, Youtube, and another apps, change your TV like a near SMARTV.
    • I bought a samsung smart hub in addition to a Samsung 55" LED TV.
    • The wifi is weak, took many tries to login but never stayed connected long enough to get the apps, so the smart TV feature becomes useless unless wired in.
    • best tv's on the market.
    • I own 2 Samsung TVs and I love
    • One of the main reasons I purchased this Samsung Blu-Ray player is because I also have a Samsung LED TV.
    • Checked out tech specs and found this was perfect for me as I just purchased a Samsung 51 "Plazma 3D smart TV
