    Samsung BD-F5900 3D Wi-Fi Blu-ray Disc Player (2013 Model)

    • Have Reset the device to factory defaults a number of times
    • It worked great for the first few months but about a month ago the Blue Ray went off line from the WiFi after trying to enter my password several times it would not connect to the WiFi, even though there is nothing wrong with the WiFi password all the other devices are working fine.
    • All in all, this is a useful entertainment device that provides a lot of functionality in a single box
    • Its never the device's issue, its your Service provider, or Router or you have too many devices hooked up to your router.
    • It does have clear picture for blu-ray playback but again I bought this as an internet capable device, there are far more inexpensive options for a regular blu-ray player
    • Other devices in the house connected to the router just fine
    • Updating the firmware via USB did not work, as the device kept stating "No Network Connection"
    • It's not perfect, but if you don't already have a smart tv or other device that can play Amazon Prime, it will do the job
    • I had it "troubleshoot" by a Samsung Rep via their website and he even suggested to just return it and replace it since the device could be defective
    • They make the most affordable Home Theatre devices for the kind of quality and the amount of features they deliver
    • I loved this device so much I purchased another for our 2nd TV.
    • I'll be looking for a new smart player device soon and it won't be a Samsung.
    • I would not recommend this device to ANYONE, it was a huge disappointment.
    • Constantly dropping the wifi signal so streaming is interrupted, having to reboot the device several times while streaming to have it reconnect to the wifi, deleting apps from the home page even though you've installed them, uninstalling apps you most frequently use....this device is terrible.
    • As a BluRay player, this is a great device.
    • If your tv is not specifically 3d ready then this device will not play 3d movies on them, sorry, I tried to get around it but to no avail
    • I discovered that Amazon Prime Instant Streaming is not a service that Samsung supports on it's devices
    • If you are really into streaming content, then you may want to consider a cheaper BluRay player and a dedicated device for streaming.
    • Frame Burst didn't seem to work too well, but to be fair, that may have been because in the MIL config, we are supporting b/g/n devices and modes.
    • However, if you ever plan to use the internet with it then this device will be your biggest nightmare.
    • My network is nothing unusual, every other device I have connected 'just worked'.Now that several hours have passed in setting up (if I wasn't a techie I probably would have returned this player)
    • Plays nice with Harmony remote control devices
    • No need for a Smart TV with this great $129 device.
    • don't think they have missed me yet, the device is fun it has a full web
    • Doesn't have a touchpad or a full keyboard built on the back as some of the other smart devices do
    • light weight, fast, stylish design... very user friendly... i would recommend this device to anyone... great syncing capabilities with my laptop :) and the netflix layout is pretty cool too.
    • How did this get past initial design reviews?I am now off to research a usable streaming device, this one is getting booted out.
    • Overall great device glad I ordered.
    • It really should have an eject button next to the tray, but the device works well with our Sammy TV.
    • On the other hand, if you mostly watch BluRays and your streaming is primarily Netflix, this is a great device.
    • I love the fish tank and fireplace screen savers, they provide great ambiance to a room when you are not actively watching TV.The price extremely affordable for all of the features provided, the home media sharing works very easily with all of my computers, tablets, and other smart devices.
    • I have had the following set-top boxes and media devices over the years:RokuRoku 2 XSRoku 3WD TVWD TV Live Plus (several generations)Boxee BoxSony SMP-N200
    • Blu-ray player works good and the 3 D works very well with our Samsung LED TV which has paired 3D glasses.
    • It was a gift and they are very happy as far as I
