I just noticed last night, after my 5th blu-ray a little flicker in in the bottom center of the screen during the credits of Juno... not sure if it's a bad disc or a player having a problem.

I have attempted multiple firmware updates (to version 2.4 released in March '09) to handle the playback problems with the new movie using the ethernet port, burned ISO discs, and the USB port update method.

It was repeatable, and the disc seemed clean.

A couple of times I attempted to play a blu-ray disc and the unit would either present an error message that the disc could not be played or would simply revert to "no disc" mode.

I haven't had any problems playing discs

This problem began in the middle of playing a disc -- it started getting glitchy, then eventually "Disc cannot be played" would come up.

Also, I don't know if this was a fluke, or what, but a couple of weeks after I bought the 3-D capable Blu-ray player and the sound stopped working completely.
