    Samsung BD-P1500 1080p Blu-ray Disc Player (2008 Model)

    • Of course, desktop computers feel sluggish when loading and JIT compiling JAVA programs, so what can you expect? One thing of importance to note is that the Amazon specs for this player are outdated - this player DOES support DTS HD Master Audio, unlike what the Amazon spec (and even the product feature list on Samsung's website) claims
    • A lot of disks take forever to load and the player is quite noisy while loading
    • It has a fast load time, tray ejects almost immediately and the menus are simple to navigate
    • Long load times, video freezing on movie scenes, sound skipping, etc.
    • It is upgradeable to Profile 2.0, has fast load times, and good picture quality.
    • I've heard alot about slow disc-loading, and if it is a problem on other players - it's not a problem on this one.
    • Nice picture, slow loading disks, though.
    • The loading is a little funky but i think longer load times is expected for blu ray
    • With Blu-ray players now much cheaper, with fast loading times (this is a dog), and offering streaming services, it's obviously time to junk this, but I'd really expected to be able to give it to my brother, who needs a player with component jacks because he has a pre-HDMI TV.
    • A little louder loading dvds than my sony, and a slight bit slower but the picture is perfect, purchase a HD cord seperately, not one included.
    • I have noticed some complaints about audio drops, slow loading, running hot and failure to play Blu-ray / DVD disc
    • It shouldn't claim to do both if it fails as frequently as it appears to.
    • After which tested out DVDs, and blu-ray DVDs, and everything works as it should
    • While the picture might not be as sharp as on an LCD, the difference is noticeable
    • Also, I don't know if this was a fluke, or what, but a couple of weeks after I bought the 3-D capable Blu-ray player and the sound stopped working completely.
