Thing broke after a few months of use and samsung wants to charge me to fix it.

Anyways, a very nice feature for my wife who rolls her eyes at the three remotes on the coffee table!Another thing I read about that I have done is go into the BD player settings and change the setting Frames per Second setting to 24.

They seemed to work when we first got them, but they have progressively gotten worse (which is why I suspect a quality problem--though maybe it's because I keep doing the firmware upgrades hoping things will get better).

After updating the firmware, which promised to increase DVD and Blu-ray compatibility the player refused to play any DVD's and would do weird things where the player would freeze or not respond for a couple minutes at a time.

The best thing about this player is how unbelievably fast it loads compared to my old A3.

Played the first disc of Lost Season 4, Hell Boy II, Encounters at the End of the World and WALL-E and raved to friends and family about how great things were

Well my g/f told me she tried to play a standard dvd & it would not play

I will be returning my unit, and replace with a Playstation 3, that costs a bit more, but it offers much more -- including better performance, wireless, a 40G hard drive, and excellent reviews.
