Be aware it's a great product but not as seamless as I thought

The screen, the size, the curvature are magnificent, and looks classy as well as futuristic

Great watch faces but you can't even really respond to a text other than 1 simple sentence

It holds a charge for a couple days depending on how you use it and watch faces vary from utilitarian to elegant.

The other drawback is that while you can send texts from your Gear S without your phone being there it will text from the Gear S number not your phone's number

but I gave it to my finance as a gift because it work very well with his samsung note 2 phone

The S Fitness App tracks my heart rate and distance while riding, and allows me to send texts or make calls without being tethered to the Samsung mobile device, a nice feature to have when the weight of a smart phone is unwelcome in my running or cycling pack

This watch has lots of features so take the time to learn what features are available to you

The charging base is also an external battery pack you can take with you to charge on the go, it takes longer to charge with the portable charger but who cares, it's a nice feature that Samsung gives you

There a very limited apps available and even less are free.

Hopefully the next version will be android instead of Tizen so it can work even more apps but in the meantime I find this one heck of a useful watch that I never thought I'd like, but now love.

Looking at my watch compared to my friend's Gear 2 made me so appreciative that I waited

I had the other gear watch an battery died so needed update anyways.

The Gear S is not like other smartwatches, so it helped me tremendously since the watch gives you so many choices

While I loved the design and the screen display, the fact that I could only use Samsung apps

I love the fact that this can be used as a stand alone phone as well
