Bottom piece does not stick very well.

Only downside to the design, that I can see, is that the top piece covers the slot for the SD card.

On my Galaxy s8, the top piece satays in place well enough, but the bottom piece just doesn't hold on to my phone well

Exactly as you see, two pieces, bold colors, offer minimal protection.
