The unit has worked very well for me

As soon as the Network Extender was connected to the new router all the lights turned blue over the course of about ten minutes (as they're supposed to) and the unit began working

Works as advertised - unit took about 15-20 minutes to start working after being plugged in for the first time - looked like it was downloading new firmware automatically.

These units are still available from Verizon's website, as well as used through 3rd party sites such as Amazon or eBay

With that said, this IS a finicky unit in one important respect.
