I purchased the Samsung Galaxy S7 unlocked version straight from Samsung on Black Friday 2016 and got a great deal on it for $550 + free VR and wireless charger bonuses

Also, I usually don't buy insurance on phones, but I made an exception for my S7, as replacing the screen or other internals is not as easy or cheap as with other phones

As a big Samsung fan, this issue and the lack of customer support will probably be enough to turn me off of purchasing any future Galaxy phones, as well as to stop recommending Galaxy phones to others

Rumors abound as to the potential for Samsung to have moved this device from a quarterly update schedule to a monthly update schedule, though we have yet to see actual evidence thereof
